SUBSTANCE: apparatus has rotating knife equipped with grinding blades located on its upper surface and driven into rotation by means of engine, immovable knife arranged in spaced relation above rotating knife and equipped with grinding blades located on its lower surface, and central charging opening. Rotating and immovable knives are disposed within case equipped with opening for discharging of coffee bean ground products placed between rotating and immovable knives, and guiding pipeline. Apparatus is further provided with worm wheel connected with immovable knife for lifting and lowering thereof, worm drive meshed with worm wheel teeth for rotating of worm wheel, and control engine adapted for rotating of worm drive in forward and backward directions. Guiding pipeline is provided with distributor adapted for supplying of predetermined amount of ground coffee beans.

EFFECT: simplified controlling of size of ground coffee bean particles, delicious taste and aroma of coffee beverage extract.

Priority this application claims the filing date of Korean application No. 2003-23093 filed April 11, 2003 in the Korean Intellectual Property Office and the description of which is incorporated in this application by reference.

BACKGROUND of the INVENTION

The scope to which the invention relates.

This invention relates to a device for grinding coffee beans, in particular to a device for grinding coffee beans, which allows you to easily grind coffee beans to the desired size.

Description technical field

Usually, to obtain an extract of coffee, roasted coffee beans are crushed to produce grinding the appropriate size. In this case, the smaller the products of grinding coffee beans, the greater the rate of extraction of flavor and aroma, thanks to the increased surface area exposed to water during the brewing, but the more bitter is the taste of coffee. On the other hand, when coarse grinding coffee beans, the speed of extraction of taste decreases and it becomes difficult to obtain a sufficient extraction of flavor and aroma. Therefore, to extract a coffee drink with a delightful taste and aroma, it is preferable that the roasted coffee beans were ground to PR the products of grinding required size.

The standard device for grinding coffee beans contains upper fixed knife with chopping blade on its lower surface, and the lower rotary knife, set with a specified gap below the upper fixed blade and having a shredding blade on its upper surface. Rotation of the lower rotary knife carried by the engine. Roasted coffee beans are served in the gap between the upper and lower knives through the hole made in the center of the upper fixed blade. The chopping blades of the upper fixed blade and chopping blade lower rotary knife are arranged such that they face each other and inclined by reaching out to each other in the radial direction. With this configuration, the coffee beans are introduced into the gap between the upper and lower knives, crushed chopping blades of the upper and lower knives and moved radially outwards by the centrifugal force produced by the rotation of the lower rotary knife.

In this device the upper fixed blade is arranged to move up and down within certain limits by means of the control carried out manually by the operator, which gives the possibility to adjust the gap between the upper and lower knives, thereby adjusting the particle size of the products of grinding coffee beans.

Though the, since the operator has to lift or lower the upper fixed blade by manual control to adjust the particle size of the products of grinding the coffee beans by adjusting the gap between the upper fixed blade and the lower rotary knife, the operation of adjusting the size of the products of grinding coffee beans becomes quite burdensome.

The INVENTION

Therefore, one aspect of this invention is to provide a device for grinding coffee beans, which are designed to achieve the simple regulation of the gap between the upper fixed blade and the lower rotating knife to facilitate regulation size products grinding coffee beans.

Additional aspects and advantages of the present invention is partially shown in the following description, and in part will be obvious from the description, or may be, will be known when using the invention in practice.

The foregoing and other aspects of the present invention are achieved by the proposed device for grinding coffee beans, which contains a rotating knife with chopping blades on its upper surface and rotated by the engine, fixed blade, located with a gap above the rotating knife with chopping blade at its lower is her surface and made it a Central inlet opening, worm wheel connected with the stationary knife for lifting and lowering, the worm-drive gear being in engagement with spaced around the circumference of the teeth of the worm wheel to rotate the worm wheel, and a control engine that is designed to rotation of the worm drive in the normal and reverse directions.

In addition, the device may include a housing accommodating the rotary and stationary knives, and a support element attached to the stationary knife and connected by threaded connection with the worm wheel to effect the raising and lowering without rotational movement.

The worm wheel may include a hollow shaft which is connected with the charging hole of the fixed knife to allow insertion through him coffee beans into the gap between the rotary and stationary knives, the support element may include a cylindrical connecting part that is connected by threaded connection with the worm wheel.

The housing may contain a discharge opening, which gives you the ability to upload through him out of the coffee beans, crushed between the rotating and stationary knives, while the discharge hole may be fitted with guide vanes pipeline.

The guide pipe may be provided with a dispenser, is the output for the distribution of a predetermined number of products grinding coffee beans.

In addition, the device may include a control switch designed to control the direction of rotation of the steering engine.

Hollow shaft worm wheel may be provided with a container for coffee beans.

To control the movement of the support element up and down the body on its inner surface may have a guide groove, and a supporting element on the outer surface can have a guide.

A DETAILED description of the PREFERRED OPTIONS

Now take a closer look at presents preferred embodiments of the present invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which same position references refer to the same elements.

As shown in figure 1, the inventive device provides the housing 10, that is provided in the bottom of the engine 11, and in the upper part of the grinding chamber 12. Grinding chamber 12 of the housing 10 is made in the form of a cylinder having an aperture in the top end.

Grinding chamber 12 has on its lower surface of the rotating plate 14, which is connected with the shaft 13 of the engine 11. Having the form of a disk rotating knife 16 is attached to the upper surface of the rotating plate 14 by screws 15 to the implementation of joint with her rotation and has on its upper surface with the chopping blade. Grinding chamber 12 in its upper part also has a supporting element 20, which can move up and down within certain limits, but cannot rotate. Having the form of a disk fixed blade 18 attached to the lower surface of the support element 20 by screws 17 to the implementation of the joint move up and down and has on its lower surface grinding blades are facing the chopping blades of the lower rotary knife 16. The upper fixed blade 18 has a Central charging opening 19, which is located in the center of the upper fixed blade 18 to enable input through him coffee beans into the gap between the upper and lower knives.

The chopping blades of the lower rotary knife 16 is made so that gradually rise the direction of their radially spaced outer ends, and the chopping blades of the upper rotary knife 18 is made so that gradually decrease in the direction of their radially spaced outer ends. More specifically, the chopping blades of the lower rotary knife 16 and the upper fixed blade 18 is made so that the gap between the grinding blades of the lower rotary knife 16 and the chopping blades of the upper fixed blade 18 more in the center than at the outer periphery of the blades 16 and 18. Due to this configuration, when the lower rotary knife 16 is driven by the engine 11, the coffee beans, which are introduced into the gap between the lower and upper blades 16 and 18 through the inlet opening 19 of the upper fixed blade 18, crushed between the grinding blades of the lower and upper blades 16 and 18, while moving radially outwards under the action of centrifugal force.

Supporting element 18 serves to maintain the upper fixed blade 18 and includes a flange 21, to the lower surface of which is attached the upper knife 18, and a cylindrical connecting part 22, which is held at a xed length up from the center of the flange 21.

As shown in figure 3, on opposite sides of the inner surface of housing 10 made a pair of vertical guide slots 23, each of which has a certain width, and PR is Fig sides of the outer surface of the flange 21 is made a pair of vertical guides 24, included in the guide grooves 23 so that they give the opportunity to raise or lower the supporting element 20, but prevents its rotation.

As shown in figures 1 and 2, for lifting and lowering the support element 20 within certain limits, in the upper part of the support element 20 has a pulley 30 with the actuator. By raising and lowering movement of the support element 20 changes the gap between the lower rotating knife 16 and the upper stationary knife 18, thereby adjusting the particle size of the products of grinding coffee beans. The lifting unit 30 includes a worm wheel 31, which has a hollow shaft 31A connected to the supporting member 20 by threaded connection between them, the worm-drive gear 32 which engages with the teeth of the worm wheel 31 to rotate the worm wheel 31, and a control engine 34, intended for rotation of the worm drive 32 in the normal and reverse directions. On the upper end of the housing 10 has a top cover 40 for enclosing the worm wheel 31 and the worm drive 32 of the lifting unit 30.

The hollow shaft 31 and the worm wheel 31 is held at some length up from the top of the casing 40 at the top and passes down into the connection part 22 of the support element 20 in its lower part. Descending down the protruding portion of the hollow shaft 31A is on the outer surface plot 3 with an external thread, and the connecting portion 22 has on its internal surface area 36 with internal thread designed for threaded connection with the outer threaded section 35, providing an opportunity to connect the hollow shaft 31A with the connecting part 22. Thanks to such design, the coffee beans are introduced into the hollow shaft 31A of the worm wheel 31, is sent to the Central inlet opening 19 of the upper fixed blade 18. Therefore, during the rotation of the worm wheel 31 in the normal and reverse directions, the supporting element 20, which is connected with the hollow shaft 31A by means of a threaded connection between them, is raised and lowered within certain limits, thereby adjusting the gap between the lower rotating knife 16 and the upper stationary knife 18. With this purpose, the worm wheel 31 is held in the upper part of the casing 40 so that it can rotate without vertical offset.

As shown in figure 2, the worm gear 32 is connected with a rotating shaft 33, which is held in the upper casing 40 in the vicinity of the teeth of the worm wheel 31. The rotating shaft 33 is connected with the drive shaft of the steering motor 34 mounted on the outer surface of the upper housing 40. Therefore, when the rotation of the steering motor 34 of the worm transmission is reported rotation, and therefore rotates the worm wheel 31. Rotation of the control number is I 34 in the reverse direction through management managing switch 37, connected with the control motor 34.

As shown in figure 1, the hollow shaft 31A of the worm wheel 31 provided at the upper end is connected to it by container 50 for coffee in order to download the roasted coffee beans in the hollow shaft 31A. The housing 10 has a discharge opening 60 in communication with the grinding chamber 12 to allow discharge through it products grinding coffee beans. The discharge opening 60 is connected to the guide pipe 61, directing the products of grinding coffee beans to the desired location.

In cases where the inventive device for grinding coffee beans set in a regular coffee maker, a guide pipe 61 may be provided with a valve 62, is arranged to supply a set number of products grinding coffee beans. The valve 62 is designed to provide a preset number of products grinding coffee beans in the block extraction of coffee (not shown) in the coffee maker. In this case, the operation of the engine 11 by the rotation of the rotating knife 16 and the distributor 62 are controlled by the control unit of the coffee machine.

Next, the operation of the claimed device for grinding coffee beans are described in more detail.

When loading user roasted coffee beans in the container 50 for coffee coffee beans of podoltsev the gap between the lower rotating knife 16 and the upper stationary knife 18 through the cavity of the hollow shaft 31A and the filling opening 19 of the upper fixed blade 18. After that, when the engine 11 of the lower rotary knife 16 makes rotation at high speed. Therefore, coffee beans crushed in the gap of the lower and upper blades 16 and 18 and are moved outward in the radial direction under the action of centrifugal force. Products grinding coffee beans are discharged to the outside through the discharge hole 60.

At this point, if the products of grinding coffee beans are larger or smaller in comparison with a given particle size, the upper fixed blade 18 is lowered or raised through the office of the managing switch 37. As a result, controlling the clearance between the lower rotating knife 16 and the upper stationary knife 18 and, thus, regulate the particle size of the products of grinding coffee beans in accordance with the clearance. In this activity, regulation of the control motor 34 is driven in the normal or reverse direction by controlling the managing switch 37, and thus, rotation of the worm reported to the actuator 32, which is connected to a rotating shaft of the motor 34. Rotation of the worm drive 32 informs the rotational movement and the worm wheel 31. During the rotation of the worm wheel 31 in the normal or reverse directions of the supporting element 20, which by means of a threaded connection is connected to its inner surface with hollow shaft 31A drawing knogo wheel 31, rises or falls within certain limits, thereby adjusting the gap between the lower and upper blades 16 and 18 and, accordingly, the particle size of the products of grinding coffee beans.

From the above description it is seen that in this invention, an apparatus for grinding coffee beans, in which the upper fixed blade is made with the possibility of raising and lowering within certain limits by means of the lifting unit with the actuator in order to adjust the gap between the upper fixed blade and the lower rotating knife. Therefore, the proposed device makes it easy to control the particle size of grinding coffee beans between the upper and lower knives.

Although there has been illustrated and described a preferred embodiment of the present invention, specialists in the art it is clear that in these cases the implementation can be made without deviating from the principles of the invention, the scope of legal protection which is defined by the claims and their equivalents.

1. Device for grinding coffee beans containing a rotating knife with chopping blades on its upper surface and driven in rotation by the engine, fixed blade, located with a gap above the rotating knife and with the chopping blade on its lower surface is resti and made it a Central inlet opening, and a housing accommodating the rotary and stationary knives and having a discharge hole that is designed to allow discharge through him out of products grinding coffee beans that are between the rotary and stationary knives, and provided with a guiding pipe, characterized in that it includes a worm wheel connected with the stationary knife for lifting and lowering, the worm-drive gear being in engagement with spaced around the circumference of the teeth of the worm wheel to rotate the worm wheel and a steering motor for rotating the worm drive in the normal and reverse directions, and a guide pipe provided with a valve designed to supply a preset number of products grinding coffee beans.

2. The device according to claim 1, which further comprises a supporting element attached to the stationary knife and connected by threaded connection with the worm wheel for lifting and lowering without rotational movement.

3. The device according to claim 2, in which the worm wheel includes a hollow shaft which is connected with the charging hole of the fixed knife to allow input through him coffee beans into the gap between the rotary and stationary knives, and the supporting element comprises a cylindrical soedinitelnaya, connected by threaded connection with the worm wheel.

4. The device according to claim 1, which further comprises a control switch for controlling the direction of rotation of the steering engine.

5. The device according to claim 3, in which the hollow shaft worm wheel connected with the container for coffee beans.

6. The device according to claim 2, in which control movement of the support element up and down the body on its inner surface has a guide groove, and a supporting element on the outer surface has a guide.
