FIELD: alloy metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to deformable, thermally strengthened, highly technologically effective, corrosion-resistant welding alloys based on the system Al-Mg-Si and articles made of thereof. The proposed alloy and article made of thereof comprise the following components, wt.-%: magnesium, 0.3-1.2; silicon, 0.3-1.7; manganese, 0.15-1.1; calcium, 0.05-0.; sodium, 0.0002-0.01, and at least one metal taken among the group comprising copper, iron, zirconium and chrome, 0.02-1.0, and aluminum, the balance. Invention provides the development of deformable alloy based on the system Al-Mg-Si and article made of this alloy that show enhanced technological effectiveness at cold stampings by extrusion and improved workability by cutting.

The invention relates to the field of metallurgy alloys, in particular deformable thermally hardened, high-tech, corrosion-resistant and welded alloys of the system Al-Mg-Si and products made from these alloys intended for use in aviation, construction, automotive and other industries, such as blades of helicopters, welded tanks, frames and car bodies, suspension loaded ceilings, walls of buildings, enclosures, motors, piping, bulkheads of ships, etc.

The alloy is designed for the production of extruded semifinished products with a high surface quality. The disadvantage of the alloy is its tendency during recrystallization to the formation of large grains, especially on the surface. As a consequence, this leads to heterogeneity of mechanical properties over the cross-section of the products made from it.

The disadvantage of this alloy is not sufficiently high workability in cold forging by wydawcy and unsatisfactory cutability, hindering items of complex shape and reduces the surface quality of the product.

An object of the invention is to develop a deformable base alloy system Al-Mg-Si and products made from this alloy, having a high workability in cold forging by wydawcy and improved cutability.

To achieve the technical objectives of the proposed deformable base alloy of aluminum containing magnesium, silicon, manganese, calcium, and additionally containing sodium and at least one metal selected from the group including copper, iron, zirconium and chromium, in the following ratio of components, wt.%:

Iron, zirconium, copper and chromium belong to the group of transition metals. To improve the strength properties of the alloy and the grinding of grain by recrystallization enter at least one metal selected from the group comprising iron, zirconium, copper and chromium. When the content of iron and / or copper and / or zirconium and / or chromium less than the lower limit, the positive impact is not shown, when the content is above the upper limit of the reduced plasticity of the alloy due to the emergence of primary intermetallics.

The sodium amount is 0.0002 to 0.01%, together with calcium in the amount of 0.05-0.5% in the alloy system Al-Mg-Si improves the ability to formulate in cold forging and machining. The presence in the alloy of sodium and calcium contributes to the grinding of grain by recrystallization. When the content of Na and CA in the alloy, respectively, below is 0.0002% and 0.05%, the effect is almost not affected, and when the content exceeding 0.01% and 0.5% lower plastic properties, especially in cold forging.

In table 1 is given the chemical composition of the tested compositions are proposed and known alloys. In the preparation of compositions aluminum, magnesium, calcium, copper, sodium was administered in pure form, and iron, zirconium, silicon, chromium and manganese in the form ligatures. Melting was performed in an electric furnace. Ingots of the obtained hot-pressed strip and cold-rolled sheet with a thickness of 1.5 mm. In table 2 and 3 summarizes the properties of semi-finished products of the tested compounds of the proposed alloy in comparison with the known in the States T and T1.

As can be seen from the data of table 2 and 3, the proposed alloy in comparison with known characterized by a higher adaptability in cold forging and the best machinability by cutting with a similar level of mechanical properties. The proposed alloy cook who is all kinds of welding, insensitive to stress, therefore, can be connected by welding, riveting, bolted connections. This allows us to recommend the proposed alloy for use in the products of aviation, construction, automotive and other industries.

Thus, the proposed alloys based on aluminum may be used for the manufacture of various products, for example, blades of helicopters, welded tanks, frames and car bodies, suspension loaded ceilings, walls of buildings, enclosures, motors, piping, bulkheads of ships, etc.
