Marshalite-based filling
FIELD: manufacture of building materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to dry building mixes for finishing of surfaces of concrete, stone, plaster, gypsum-cardboard, ceramics, metal, and wood. Filling contains, wt %: marshalite 60-65, white or gray Portland cement 30-35, latex in the form of re-dispersible powder 1-5, and additionally methylcellulose mixed esters. Filler further comprises additional ingredients selected from pigments, mineral additives, air-entraining agents, foam suppressors, waterproofing agents, structure-forming fillers: coarse sand, fibers, mineral or synthetic crumb, and setting accelerators (1-5% in total).
EFFECT: improved environmental compatibility.

The invention relates to dry construction mixes for the final (finish) surface finishing of concrete, stone, plaster, drywall, ceramic, metal and wood.
Known dry fillers have as filler gypsum, chalk, lime, limestone and its derivatives.
Their main disadvantage is a certain chemical activity, low strength, fear of moisture.
The use of chemically resistant marshalite as the main filler eliminates these drawbacks.
Included in the dry mixture (putty) Margalit, i.e. quartz dust produced by grinding silica sand double washing in special mills, has a neutral to aggressive environments and weathering, and therefore the range of application of coatings based on it are very wide.
Known for mortar for leveling concrete surfaces containing Marsala, cement and latex (see ed. St. USSR №577192, MKI 04 In 25/02, 1976).
This construction solution includes an aqueous dispersion of a copolymer of piperylene with styrene and ethoxylated op, which creates problems during transportation and storage, in addition, these solutions are environmentally hazardous.
The technical result, which is aimed invention is the obtaining of environmentally chistejshij mixes (in particular, putty) on the basis of marshalite, a wide range of applications, easy to storage, transportation and application.
This is achieved by the fact that in the manufacture of these compounds are the latest developments in the field of modifying additives to dry construction mixtures.
The main components for the manufacture of modified dry mixtures are:
Marsala | 60-65% |
Portland cement white or gray | 30-35% |
mixed esters based on methylcellulose | of 0.1-0.5% |
the latex in the form of redispersion powder | 1-5%. |
Additional additives can be mineral pigments, air entraining additives, defoamers, water-repellent agents, structuring fillers - coarse sand, fiber, mineral or synthetic crumb, setting accelerators, only 1-5%.
The production of dry mixtures consists in thoroughly mixing the dry components and additives in different stirrers type (drum, gravity, screw and so on).
The resulting product is packaged in paper bags and transported to the place of their application. For preparation of this solution should only add to the dry mixture of water and stir.
It turns out od Hrodna a paste with a viscosity grade 150-5000 Spa· with, which is intended for use in the decoration of various surfaces both indoors and outside, in dry and wet rooms, swimming pools for waterproofing, insulation.
The formulas of various types of fillers differ in the amount and type of additives depending on the purpose of their application.
Examples of formulations of putty marshalite are shown in table 1.

Putty can be designed for use in the decoration of various surfaces both indoors and outside, in dry and wet rooms, swimming pools for waterproofing, thermal insulation for decorative finishes.
Ready putty experience in laboratories for strength when dry according to GOST 19007-73, the ability to ground according to GOST 8832-76. In the test results:
- impact strength up to 600-800 N/cm2;
- elasticity in bending half the diameter of 10-20 mm;
- the drying time of the putty to 5 degrees for 10-15 min;
- heat 170-180°C (index obtained in the testing of plates in layers of putty, which after drying was aged at room temperature for 1 hour, and then another 1 hour at a temperature of 30-40°and then was maintained for 40 minutes in a heating Cabinet at a temperature of 17-180° C).
Cooled after heating the plate at room temperature were tested for the presence of cracks in the layer of putty. None of the 10 samples visually apparent cracks were found.
The properties of the filler are shown in table 2.
