SUBSTANCE: tooth root canal filling composition effective in cases of periodontitis and parodontosis contains zinc oxide, resorcinol, formalin, and additionally thymol, all taken is specified proportions. Composition allows treatment of periodontitis and parodontosis with elevated tooth mobility and without change in solid dental tissue color.

EFFECT: increased treatment efficiency and simultaneously antiseptic and bactericidal properties.

 

The invention relates to medicine, namely to the dentist, and can be used for filling root canals for diseases such as periodontitis and periodontal disease with tooth mobility II-III degree.

Resorcinol-formalin paste, providing modificarea and anti-inflammatory effect, does not stimulate the repair of bone tissue, has insufficient antiseptic and bactericidal properties, causes a color change of dental hard tissues, further marked resorption of the tooth root and bone walls of the alveoli, and periodontitis and periodontosis it also does not eliminate the mobility of teeth.

The objective of the invention is to provide a composition for dental root canal filling with improved antiseptic and bactericidal properties, does not cause color change of the tooth hard tissues and providing treatment of periodontitis and periodontal disease with tooth mobility II-III degree.

The problem is solved in that the composition for sealing root canals containing zinc oxide, resorcinol, formaldehyde, according to the invention additionally contains thymol in the following ratio of ingredients, wt.%:

Resorcinol 9-15

Formalin 40-50

Thymol 15-23

Zinc oxide - rest

Thymol is known bactericidal substance has high antiseptic properties, exerts pronounced antibacterial activity.

The introduction of thymol in a known composition for dental root canal filling material provides antiseptic and smear isignia properties, promotes the formation of more plastic mass, which is well consolidated with the bone tissue of the alveoli, expands the possibilities of conservative treatment of periodontitis and periodontitis, eliminates tooth mobility II-III degree. In addition, the use of thymol in the composition for sealing does not cause the change of tooth hard tissues due to the formation of a copolymer of resorcin and thymol.

The invention is not obvious from the prior art and the prior art are not identified technical solutions of the same purpose, a set of signs which are identical essential features of formulas of the claimed invention.
