The invention relates to alkyd epoxy primer composition based on waste distillation of phthalic anhydride and epoxy resins and can be used for applying a corrosion-resistant chemical-resistant coatings on metal products and structures for various purposes.

Known composition for priming corroded surfaces, although it has a high protective properties in wet and aggressive environments, however, the coatings based on it have low mechanical properties: impact strength of 20 kgf·cm bending 3 mm, the adhesion - 2 points; and the composition comprises costly components.

Object of the present invention to provide a primer composition for coatings with high corrosion resistance, durability and low cost due to the disposal of still bottoms from the distillation of phthalic anhydride.

Studies have proven the feasibility of the claimed ratio of components in the primer composition for coating.

When the content of epoxy resin ED-20 in the composition is less than 45 wt.% reduced strength properties of the formed coating, and the content of epoxy resin ED-20 greater than 45.4 wt.% leads to a significant increase in the drying time of the coating.

Test data presented in tables, where table 1 shows specific instances of the ratio of components in the synthesis of alkyd resins with different content of phthalic anhydride in KOF, granulometric composition.
