The invention relates to livestock, in particular cattle, and can be used to predict the potential energy of the growth of calves.

Known methods for predicting productivity of animals, for example, the structure of bone, body weight, volume and structure of internal organs, by definition, the mass of young[1, 2, 3].

The disadvantages of the known methods include: the complexity of laboratory tests, the need to use expensive equipment and skilled professionals, a great complexity.

The closest analogue of the proposed method is a method of assessing the energy growth of calves on physiological indicators characterizing the activity of the thyroid gland. The known relationship between the intensity of growth in body weight of animals with the level of thyroid hormones in the blood. Hypofunction of the thyroid gland increases the deposition of substances in the body, and hyperthyroidism leads to a deficit balance [4].

The disadvantages of this method are:

- the need to use highly qualified specialists;

- the need to use expensive equipment;

The objective of the invention is elimination of the need for highly skilled migrants and the use of expensive equipment.

The task of resettability to in the known method, which consists in the study of physiological parameters associated with the energy growth of calves, according to the invention as a physiological indicator associated with the energy growth of calves, use data measuring bioelectric potential biologically active centers (BATC) №5, 7, 11, 41, 44, find its average value and if the value is more than 48 µa state high energy growth of calves.
