Method for prevention of peatbog fire spreading

FIELD: fire-fighting equipment, particularly for peat fire spread prevention.

SUBSTANCE: method involves forming intermittent strips; supplying water to intermittent strips and forming wetted area. Wetted area is formed by arranging mole drains along intermittent strip lengths and supplying water to them to moisture peat bed through the whole thickness thereof. To perform preventive water conservation intermittent strip surfaces located above mole drains are loosened for 0.15 - 0.2 m depth and 1.0 - 1.5 m width and intermittent strip surfaces above mole drains in fire vicinity are rolled up. Fire inhibitors are added to water before supplying thereof in mole drains.

EFFECT: increased fire-protective efficiency regardless of peat bed thickness.

The present invention relates to the field of fire fighting and can find application in the fight against forest fires in peatlands.

There is a method of extinguishing of forest fires, including the formation of discontinuous strips and create on it covering ageographical protective strip with sprinkler loops, an inlet for water from the water source and the wetting of the surface protective strip sprinkler (RF patent No. 2087176, MCI And 62 With 2/00, BI No. 23, 1997). This method ensures that the moisture of the soil at shallow and ineffective for extinguishing fires on peatlands with large capacity of peat.

Known way to prevent the spread of fire in peatlands, including the device discontinuous bands, supply to them of water and the formation of the hydrated zone tillage peat and spraying water loosened peat crumb (RF patent No. 2190441, MCI And 62 With 3/02, BI No. 28, 2002) This method is adopted as a prototype.

The disadvantage of this method is the inability to provide wetting of the peat in the capacity of the peat layer than 1-1 .5 m in Addition, the water-holding capacity of peat exceeds 200%, so when the snapshot spraying peat crumb impossible to ensure a sufficiently high degree of moisture.

To address these shortcomings allows the proposed method of preventing spread the I fire in peatlands, including device discontinuous bands, supply to them the water, forming a hydrated zone, in which the length of discontinuous strips are laid crottogini, which serves the water and produce hydration to the entire depth of the peat. In addition, for the preventive conservation of water applied to the surface of the strip over crotalinae loosened to a depth of 0.15-0.20 m and a width of 1.0 to 1.5 m, and in the immediate vicinity of the fire surface band over crocodile rolled down. In the water, before feeding it into crottogini add substance to prevent burning.

The essence of the method lies in the fact that the gasket krutoten and filing them in water to provide hydration to the entire thickness of the peat layer; loosening of the surface layer of discontinuous strips over crotalinae to a depth of 0.15-0.20 m and a width of 1.0 to 1.5 m leads to disruption of capillary water flow to the surface of the strip, so that even in the absence of a confining layer below the peat bog is a large part of the submitted moisture will persist for 2-3 months. When experiencing the immediate vicinity of the fire to produce the rolling of the bursting strip that will restore the capillary current and its hydration. In addition, add in the water before it is supplied to crottogini substances, prevents burning, even more conducive to the prevention of fire t the introduction and spread of fire.

The essence of the proposal is illustrated by a drawing, in which figure 1 presents a General view of the bursting strip with a damp area, and figure 2 is its side view.

The proposed method of preventing the spread of fire in peatlands is as follows.

On peat soils to protect against fires commercial facilities and settlements surrounded by discontinuous strips 1, which is formed by cutting and removal of trees and shrubs. Along the length of the strips are laid crottogini 2, in the head part they share the water distribution manifold 3, and the end part of the drainage collector 4, which can serve as a distribution to the next level krutoten. Water supply to the water distribution manifold 3 is carried out using pipe 5 that runs from the pump station 6, installed on the water source 7. When the water from the water source 7 in the suction line of the pump station 6 can be filed substances that prevent combustion, such as exhaust gases from the pump station 6. Water is fed into crottogini 2 to drenching the entire thickness of the peat layer. If a fire hazard exists, but the fire is in the distance, hydrated tensile strength of the strip over crotalinae loosened to a depth of 0.15-0.20 m and a width of 1.0 to 1.5 m in order to break the capillary current to a surface the STI and prevent drying of the strip. In the immediate vicinity of the fire breaking the strip is rolled to restore capillary current moisture to the surface.

As a result of implementation of the proposed method around the protected object form the band, moist and saturated with carbon dioxide (or other substance which prevents burning) for all thickness of the peat layer.

Thus, the proposed method can provide a higher degree of protection from the spread of fire through the peat fires in any capacity of the peat layer.

1. The way to prevent the spread of fire in peatlands, including the device discontinuous bands, supply to them the water, forming a hydrated zone, characterized in that the length of a discontinuous strips are laid crottogini, which serves the water and produce hydration to the entire depth of the peat, while for preventive conservation of water applied to the surface of the discontinuous bands over crotalinae loosened to a depth of 0.15-0.20 m and a width of 1.0 to 1.5 m, and in the immediate vicinity of the fire surface discontinuous bands over crocodile rolled down.

2. The method according to claim 1, characterized in that water before it is supplied to crottogini add substance to prevent burning.
