Maximum sagittal and then transverse mandible movements are recorded from central occlusion position distinguished in that the patient keeps sliding contact between maxillary and mandibular teeth, or maximum movements are recorded in temporomandibular articulation with dentition rows separated to minimum. Sagittal movement amplitudes being symmetric and transverse mandible movements line being immobile, norm is to be diagnosed. Amplitude asymmetry or transformed parallel dimension being the case, functional occlusion disorder or temporomandibular articulation pathology is to be diagnosed.

The invention relates to medicine, namely to prosthetic dentistry and is restricted to the sagittal and transverse movements of the lower jaw with the aim of obtaining diagnostics of diseases of the temporomandibular joint.

A known method for recording movements of the lower jaw [1].

The disadvantage of this method is the lack of accuracy and the ability to conduct research only in the absence of teeth in a patient.

A known method for detecting vertical movements of the lower jaw by removing graphical indications [2].

The disadvantage of this method is to register only vertical movements of the lower jaw, which makes it possible to diagnose diseases of the temporomandibular joint.

The purpose of the invention to provide the ability to diagnose dysfunction of the temporomandibular joint.

This goal is achieved by the fact that the patient produces sagittal, and then the transverse movement of the lower jaw, registering at the same time parallel graphic lines, when the symmetry of the amplitudes of the sagittal movements and constant line transverse movements, as well as symmetry of the amplitudes of the transverse movements and constant line sagittal movements diagnose the norm, when asymmet is licnosti amplitudes or modified lines parallel dimension diagnose a violation of the functional occlusion and the temporomandibular joint.

graphic line 1 depicts the transverse movement of the lower jaw, graphic line 2 depicts the simultaneous involuntary sagittal movement of the lower jaw, line 3 - sagittal movement of the lower jaw, line 4 - simultaneous with the sagittal involuntary transverse movement of the lower jaw; figure 2 shows a recording device.

The proposed method is implemented as follows.

On the front part of the patient's head is fixed stationary frame 5 so that plot 6 was located in Klykova hole on both sides. The rod 7 is set to the interdental stop 8 was between the Central incisors of the lower jaw. Movement of the lower jaw is transmitted through the rod to the platform 9 by means of the hinge 10 and recorded digital recording device 11 with subsequent transfer to a personal computer. Registration of movements of the lower jaw on your computer is carried out by simultaneous recording of two graphs in the coordinate system. To conduct the study was allocated a homogeneous group, consisting of the th of 37 people aged 19 - 25 years, no complaints from TMJ. Mandatory criteria the dental status of the examined was the presence of intact dentitions and orthognathic occlusion. Criteria somatic status was the absence of acute, chronic and systemic diseases. All surveyed movements of the lower jaw device for recording the sagittal and transverse movements of the lower jaw of our design using the developed method of registration. The study of occlusal contacts were conducted by using occlusivity.

According to the registration sagittal and transverse movements of the lower jaw in a selected group revealed that in the first phase, the amplitude of the lateral movements of the symmetric trajectory is smooth, without jumps, in addition, sagittal movements at the same time not recorded, reflecting the smooth contour graph of the eponymous lower jaw movements. In the second phase of the study, respectively, there is no lateral movement in the sagittal movements of the lower jaw, which are characterized by a smooth trajectory. Average

the amplitude of the transverse motion was 7.4 mm, and the average amplitude of the sagittal movements amounted to 7.6 mm Using the proposed method enables timely the military to diagnose disorders of the temporomandibular joint or the violation of the functional occlusion.

The method can and should be used in clinical settings.
