Antiviral and bactericidal composition
The invention relates to the field of medicine and biology. Antiviral and bactericidal composition contains tetrium-hexamethylenetetramine General formula (CH2)6N4I4, (25-35 wt.%) and polyvinyl alcohol and/or polyvinylpyrrolidone (65-75 wt.%). The composition provides good solubility, low toxicity and increased bactericidal activity. 3 table.
The invention relates to the field of medicine and biology, and in particular to substances with antiviral and bactericidal activity, and can be used in medicine, veterinary medicine, pharmaceutical industry.
Well-known drug with bactericidal activity, upon receipt of which is mixed hydroxyapatite with silver nitrate or zinc sulfate at a mass ratio of 1:0.2 and 0.3, and before mixing of the ingredients to the water add the disodium salt of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid in an amount of 0.03 to 0.05 wt.h. (3-5 wt.%) and drug antinodes in the amount of 0.08 to 0.10 wt.h. (8-10 wt.%) 1 wt.h. (100 wt%) hydroxyapatite (patent RU №2026073 AND 61 TO 33/38, 33/34, publ. 1995). A disadvantage of the known compositions is the lack of antiviral activity, which limits their scope.
The closest analogue of the proposed technical solutions for the essential features and purposes is antibacterial and antiviral composition comprising tetrium-hexamethylenetetramine General formula (CH2)6N4I4and nitrate hexamethylentetramine silver in the amount of 10-50 wt.% (patent RU №2181050, 7 AND 61 TO 33/18, 33/38, publ. 10.04.2002. Selected for the prototype).
The disadvantage of the composition of the prototype is its extremely low solubility in water, which makes it impossible to obtain a stable dosage forms in the form of a solution.
Technical problem on which the invention is directed, is a composition exhibiting a higher antiviral activity and possessing good solubility.
The problem is solved by using, along with tetrium-hexamethylenetetramine, components such as polyvinyl alcohol and/or polyvinylpyrrolidone in the number of 65-75 wt.%. The combination of components provides good solubility of the composition in water, p is the essential feature is the use of tetrad-hexamethylenetetramine. Distinctive features of the technical solution is not previously mentioned polyvinyl alcohol and/or polyvinylpyrrolidone, and their quantitative content. Spent an analysis of the level of technology has shown that analogues of the same purpose, which is characterized by a set of essential features that are identical to all stated, the available information is missing that satisfies the criterion of "novelty". Industrial applicability of the invention follows from obtaining laboratory samples of the composition, the presence of the desired activity and the possible use of the composition in practice.
Conducted by the authors showed that the claimed composition can be used in various pharmaceutical forms such as ointments, balms, solutions. Also used in the song-the prototype of a salt of silver, as it is known, has a high mutagenic activity, while the proposed components (polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinylpyrrolidone, or a mixture of dashing in evidence.
Examples characterizing the properties of the claimed compositions are given in table.1-3.

2. Antiviral activity of the claimed compositions and original metriod-hexamethylenetetramine tested on the example of vaccinia virus (Maltseva N.N. "A comparative study of the properties of different strains of vaccinia virus". M.: Medicine, 1965).
3. Antibacterial activity of the composition has been determined using serial dilutions of bacterial cultures at various concentrations. In table.3 presents the results after 24 hours of incubation.
The data show that the solubility of the original drug tetrium-hexamethylenetetramine in the claimed compositions is increased more than 20 times. The claimed composition exhibits a pronounced inhibitory effect (up to 100%) for vaccinia virus, completely inhibiting its growth and activity, antiviral effect exceeds the original song 2-3 times, it has high antibacterial activity, inhibiting the growth of bacteria in the whole range of investigated concentrations.
The study of the acute toxicity of the composition (from 10 to 100 mg/kg of body weight). Observations were carried out within 30 days. It is not no adverse toxic effects and death in experimental animals.
The claimed composition, long shelf and does not lose activity under normal laboratory conditions.
