Composition for the conditioning of mineral fertilizers and method of conditioning

 

(57) Abstract:

The invention relates to the conditioning of mineral fertilizers by surface treatment of the conditioning composition containing primary aliphatic amines with long hydrocarbon chains WITH17-C20solid hydrocarbons with a melting point not lower than 50°C, low-molecular polyisobutylene with a molecular mass of 5000-30000, nonionic surfactant is ethoxylated amides of fatty acids and paraffin hydrocarbon fraction WITH14-C17. The composition is applied by spraying at a temperature of 80 to 90°C in the amount of 0.05-0.1% by weight of the treated fertilizer. Handling fertilizers claimed composition reduce the caking of fertilizers on 95-98%, piomote up to 90% and moisture absorption by 40-45%. 2 N. p. F.-ly, 1 table.

The invention relates to the production of the conditioning composition for mineral fertilizers and can be used for conditioning the nitrogen and/or phosphorus and/or potassium fertilizers and products based on them.

In this composition, the mixture of waxes performs the function of grease thickeners that structure the composition, giving it stability at the temperature of storage of fertilizers. It is shown that treatment with such a composition of granular nitrogen fertilizers leads to decrease moisture absorption, dust formation and caking. However, the absence in the composition an effective surfactant (hereinafter referred to as surfactants) as an active ingredient leads to increased consumption condition additives (0.1 to 1.0% by weight of the fertilizer). In addition, the use of high molecular weight polyisobutylene with a molecular mass of 40000-1300000 leads the AI conditioning composition.

The mixture of fatty amine is a mixture of amines, in which the distribution of the lengths of the hydrocarbon chains have an average of 17.5±1.5 carbon atoms with the standard deviation, is greater than or equal to 2. The mixture of amines contains, wt%: Amin hydrogenated fat 35-85, Amin copra 5-25, Amin canola or fish 10-40. Fatty amines obtained by aminating acids with long hydrocarbon chains WITH9-C25obtained after oxidation of normal paraffins. However, insufficient viscosity at the temperature of application of the composition, created on the basis of such thickeners as waxes, enhances the absorption conditioning additive in the pores of the surface of the processed material, which leads to uneven application and to increase the flow of the applied composition to 1.0-1.3 kg/T. in Addition, the use in the composition of the conditioning is in hydrocarbon chains (17,5±1,5 with standard deviation, greater than or equal to 2) leads to difficulties in the practical implementation of the invention.

However, using this method of conditioning fertilizer composition specified structure, which does not contain an effective surfactant leads to uneven coating of the granules and, consequently, the lack of effectiveness of additives to reduce moisture absorption and caking of ammonium nitrate when the claimed consumption rate. The use of this composition allows to reduce the water absorption of fertilizers only 17-30% and caking on 75-86%. In addition, the additive imposes strict limitations on the amount of the applied composition: increase calicoes treated ammonium nitrate.

Closest to the claimed composition and method for conditioning granular fertilizer is a composition and method of conditioning with the use of this composition, disclosed in US patent No. 5704962 “Granular fertilizer”, 06.01.1998. In the prototype of the conditioning composition, heated to 60 to 90°C, is applied to the fertilizer granules by spraying method. Used composition contains secondary dialkylanilines with the length of the hydrocarbon chain C14-C20or their mixture with primary monoamines, also with a long hydrocarbon chain WITH14-C20. The percentage of primary amines by weight in these mixtures can reach 75%. The content by weight of secondary and primary monoamines in the composition is between 5-100%. Secondary dialkylanilines have the formula R2NH in which R represents Akilova a circuit in which 30% alilovic share - C16and 65% alilovic share - C18. In addition, the composition includes one or more components selected from the group consisting of waxes, oils and fatty acids based on hydrogenated solid fat preferably with a long hydrocarbon chain WITH14-C20as anionic surfactants. In addition, the defect coverage associated with uneven absorbency conditioning additive in pellet fertilizer when applied, does not allow to achieve high performance of the composition for preventing caking and dust granular inorganic fertilizers. The use of this composition leads to the reduction of caking of fertilizers only 75-80%, and the dust of 60-80%.

The main task, which directed the claimed group of inventions is getting a conditioning composition with increased viscosity, improved wetting properties, not flowing during storage, the application of which on the fertilizer granules reduce the caking, piomote and moisture absorption of mineral fertilizers with the simultaneous reduction of the applied composition.

The problem is solved as follows, in the composition the proposed composition, along with primary aliphatic amines, oil and surfactant administered low-molecular polyisobutylene with a molecular mass of 5000-30000 as rheological thickener and solid hydrocarbons with temperature the s fraction14-C17and as surfactants in the composition is injected nonionic surfactants, which represents an ethoxylated amides of fatty acids. Instead of primary aliphatic amines in the composition may include tallow amines.

Thus, the claimed composition has the following composition, wt.%:

The use of low molecular weight polyisobutylenes with a molecular mass of 5000-30000 reduces the difficulties of their dissolution in the preparation of hair conditioning compositions and removes the problem of tackiness of the treated granules fertilizer, and their number provides the necessary viscosity of the composition 30-40 MPa·s at the temperature of application 80-90°C.

The introduction of solid hydrocarbons caused by the necessity to eliminate the fluidity composit°C), to reduce the absorbency of the additive in the fertilizer granules during storage and, thereby, to preserve the uniform distribution of the composition over the surface of the granules during storage. Solid hydrocarbons are hydrocarbons with a melting point not lower than 50°With, for example, petrolatum, solid paraffin.

In the composition as an active ingredient is administered primary aliphatic amines with long hydrocarbon chains WITH17-C20that provide education adsorption of a hydrophobic film on the surface of the fertilizer particles. Instead of primary aliphatic amines may use tallow amines.

To ensure effective and uniform distribution of the conditioning additive according to the workpiece and to reduce the amount of active component - primary aliphatic amines or tallow amines, in the composition using solvent - paraffin hydrocarbon fraction WITH14-C17.

To improve wetting of the surface of the fertilizer granules conditioning additive in the composition is injected nonionic surfactant is ethoxylated amides of fatty acids.

The composition is obtained by polidore conditioning granular fertilizers, the problem is solved by sputtering on the surface of the treated fertilizer composition with a temperature of 80 to 90°C and viscosity of 30-40 MPa·with, using the composition of the claimed composition containing a primary alifaticheskie amines with long hydrocarbon chains C17-C20or tallow amines, low molecular weight polyisobutylene, solid hydrocarbons, paraffin hydrocarbons fraction C14-C17and nonionic surfactants in the form of an ethoxylated fatty acid amides. This viscosity of the composition (30-40 MPa· (C) reduces the absorbency of the conditioning additive in pellet fertilizer when applied, to improve the uniformity of distribution over the surface of the granules and, thereby, to reduce the consumption composition of 0,05-0,1% by weight of the fertilizer and to reduce caking, flaking and moisture absorption of fertilizers.

Example 1.

A mixture consisting of 20% of primary aliphatic amines with long hydrocarbon chains C17-C2030% of solid hydrocarbons with a melting point above 50°C, 9% of low molecular weight polyisobutylenes with a molecular weight of 20,000, 1% ethoxylated fatty acid amides, 40% liquid paraffin fraction C14-C17(composition 1) is heated Doudou viscosity of 35 MPa·at a temperature of 80°C is applied by spraying on the surface of granulated complex NPK fertilizers in the amount of 0.06% by weight of the fertilizer.

Example 2.

The mechanism of action of the conditioning composition to other types of fertilizers containing nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium and products on the basis of these fertilizers are similar to those described above.

Thus, the use of the claimed composition for conditioning granular fertilizers containing nitrogen and/or phosphorus and/or potassium and products on their basis, decreases their caking on 95-98%, piomote - up to 90% and moisture absorption - by 40-45%.
