A method of manufacturing hollow parts

 

The invention relates to the processing of metals by pressure and can be used for the manufacture of parts with a tapered cavity backward extrusion. The method includes the preliminary and final deformation of the workpiece in the matrix inverse extrusion influenced by forming punch with interior conical wall of the cavity. The conical surface of the cavity part in the final deformation is obtained by application efforts perpendicular to the forming punch having a convex curvature, equal to the amount of elastic deformation of the wall part. Can be used the punch forming is performed with a convex conical belt having two sections with different angles of taper, the height of the belt is equal to the amount of elastic deformation of the wall. The invention relates to the processing of metals by pressure, and in particular to methods of manufacturing parts with conical cavity by backward extrusion.

The disadvantage of this method is the limited technological capabilities, due to the instability of the geometric dimensions of the conical surface inside the cavity due to the compressed-stretched volumetric stress state of the conical wall of the workpiece during its deformation (see Fig.5 - prototype).

The finished parts of the inner wall has a convex curvature (the diameter in the middle part of the conical section decreases) in the form of two sections with different cone angle due to elastic deformation of the said wall (see Fig.5), so to ensure the straightness of the conical section of the cavity it is subjected to additional machining, which narrows the technological possibilities of the method.

The invention in the manufacture of hollow parts is to improve the quality by eliminating the distorted inner profile of the cavity detail - ensure the straightness of the conical section of the cavity, and the expansion of technological capabilities by forming a cavity parts that do not require cutting.

The final deformation of the conical wall of the cavity of the part in ensuring the straightness of the conical section, as an option, almost was achieved by performing a forming punch with a convex conical peformace h wall 16 of the workpiece (Fig.4).

Compared to the base object (Fig.5), which adopted the prototype, the invention improves the quality of the parts and to expand the technological capabilities of the method by eliminating additional processing by cutting.

The present invention is industrially applicable. Proof is the fact the manufacture of hollow housings perforating systems at the Federal state unitary enterprise “Production Association "Plant them. Sergo"”.
