The invention relates to methods for paints and varnishes, in particular modified drying oils, which are widely used in the manufacture of varnishes, enamels, primers, and other compositions, used as a protective, decorative, insulating coatings. Modification of natural or synthetic drying oils carried out by introducing into the reaction mixture modifier brand S-1 at the final stages of the drying oil - cooling stage. As a modifier is used, the product composition: 15-70 wt.% of monoethanolamine, not more than 50 wt.% a mixture of 1-(2-oxyethyl)imidazolidone-2 and 1-(2-oxyethyl)Ethylenediamine as the product of the transformation of oxazolidone, not more than 5 wt.% water, when the mass ratio of natural or synthetic drying oil: modifier + 100:(0.5 to 10). The disadvantage of this composition is the high content of vegetable oil and desiccant, which is a modification of natural and synthetic drying oils with the use of petrochemical raw materials available, aimed at improving performance. A distinctive feature of the invention is that as a modifier taken mixture aminopeptidases result does not depend on the method of obtaining natural or synthetic drying oils, and is determined only by the introduction at the final stage of synthesis of drying oil modifier particular composition.
