Road markings containing spaced apart ribs

Usage: road marking along the edge of the road. Essence: road markings along the side of the road contains spaced apart ribs. The ribs form an angle ofin relation to roads, constituting 25-65. The technical result - the prevention of Stripping markup by snow plows and enabling free passage of water between the ribs. 7 C.p. f-crystals, 3 ill.

The present invention relates to a road marking made in the form located at a distance from each other of the edges passing essentially crosswise to the direction of the road. These ribs are made of plastic and mixed with glass beads, which are provided in particular on the surface, so that the markup reflected light and were clearly visible in the dark.

The level of technology

Markings along the edges of the road in the form of ribs that run across the longitudinal direction of the road, known for about ten years (see, for example, U.S. patent 4575278). These ribs have a length of approximately 6-8 cm, separated from each other by approximately 10-12 cm, and they have a width of approximately 3, see Their maximum height is 4 mm, and they and the and balls. Besides the fact that markings along the side of the road quite clearly visible, they also cause noise when the machine will stop too far on the edge and will go on the exposed edges. Therefore, the side of the road marked well enough.

For example, in the Nordic countries with a cold climate, where you can expect snow in the winter, these ribs on the inner side provided with a longitudinal stripe, passing in the direction of the road and made of the same material as any of the edges. The reason why this strip is placed near the edges, is that when the plough is moved forward on the road, it should be raised to the strips near the edges, so as not to damage the ribs. If the strips were absent in this place, snow could easily damage the edges or completely scrape off.

Technical problem

The bar, located next to the edges, protects them properly, but because the road is convex and therefore has a bias toward the edges, this strip will be a low barrier to water, which, respectively, will accumulate on the inner side of the strip. Depending on the duration or intensywny or layer of water leads to a sharp decrease in the intensity of reflected light from the car and to the partial reflection of his not in the right direction. Thus, this line creates a big problem from the point of view of visibility edges. Even worse is the situation at the left edge of the highway, because the water will form on the facing edges of the side strips and completely flooding it.

To solve these problems associated with water were performed in the so-called rain grooves, which means that approximately every tenth meter in the strip were made hollow so that water could pass through the strip, but during heavy rains, this measure is insufficient. Therefore, already for a long time there is a desire to remove the protective strips from the edges so that the water can freely pass between them, and yet allow movement of the plough along the edges without Stripping them or significant damage to them.

Brief description of the invention

In accordance with the present invention, the above problem was solved by performing the marking containing spaced apart ribs located essentially transversely to the direction of the road, which differs in that the ribs to prevent Stripping them shooterrelease 25-65.

In accordance with the invention it is expedient that this angle was the angle that is formed between the longitudinal direction of the road and the far side of the ribs, when viewed in the direction of the road.

However, in accordance with the invention, it is possible that the angle represented by the angle formed between the longitudinal direction of the road and the front side of the ribs, when viewed in the direction of the road.

In accordance with the invention, the ribs should have a length of 10 to 70 cm and the distance between them should be 1-40 cm, preferably 3 see

In accordance with the invention it is important that the edges overlap when viewed in the transverse direction of the road.

In accordance with the invention, the ribs are made of plastic and contain glass beads, at least on the surface.

In accordance with the invention it is expedient to provide between the ribs was located preferably elastic material.

In accordance with the invention, the ribs should have a width of approximately 3 cm and a height of up to 4 mm, while the material, which has a shape similar to the cones between the ribs should have a maximum thickness of approximately 0.5-10 mm

Fig.1 shows the markings along the side of the road in accordance with the previous technical level;

Fig.2 and 3 show examples of two embodiments of markings along the side of the road in accordance with the present invention.

Detailed description of the invention

On. Fig.1 shows the currently used markings along the side of the road, which includes ribs 1 and a protective strip 2 with the side edges 1, which is turned inwards towards the road. The direction of movement along the road indicated by the arrow. Since the road is convex, water 3 will accumulate from the protective strip 2 and eventually to flow through the said strip and to flow between the ribs 1. The result of this edge 1 will be partially flooded with water and the light should be reflected from the edges 1, will be severely weakened.

In Fig.2 shows ribs 1 according to the present invention, which are arranged with an inclination relative to the longitudinal direction of the road at an anglethat can range from 25 to 65preferably approximately 42. Thus, the ribs 1 will overlap each other in the transverse direction of the road, so that when shootist is the result of what the striping ribs will be prevented. Water, which runs in the direction of the edge of the road, will be small as shown by the arrows, to flow between the ribs 1.

In Fig.3 shows the same direction of edges 1, as in Fig.2, but in this case, between the ribs 1 are placed intermediate material. This material, which has a shape comparable to the cones, contains preferably reflective glass beads 4, which are located on the surface of the ribs 1.

Anglein Fig.2 may also be an angle between the front side edges 1 and expensive, thus, edges, respectively, will be turned to the right in the figure.

Using the present invention the problem of reducing the intensity of reflected light due to the influence of water were removed and at the same time measures are taken so that the ribs were not broken or does not have all the snow.

The invention is not limited to the illustrated examples of embodiments and can be modified in different ways within the scope of the claims.
