The invention aims at creating a composition used in dentistry for bleeding gums, which is solved thanks that composition based hialuronowy acid used in dentistry, for example, to stop bleeding from the gums, caused by the extraction of the tooth or pathological process, such as periodontal disease, is a water, preferably 1-2% solution of hyaluronic acid and further comprises ions of chromium(3+), taken in the form of pharmaceutically acceptable salts of chromium, for example in the form of citrate, in the amount of 5-10 mg chromium(3+) ion on 10 g of hyaluronic acid.

Despite the fact that chromium belongs to the Bioelements, its role in the body have not been well studied. It is believed that chromium has an effect on glucose metabolism by enhancing the action of insulin. Daily need in chromium is 50-200 mcg.

We unexpectedly found that the addition to the aqueous solution (gel) hyaluronic acid ions of chromium(3+) allows to obtain a composition that retains all of the rheological and regenerative functions of the original acid, but has improved from the point of view of practitioners of therapeutic properties: greater activity and ability to thicken.

The explanation for this is, presumably, to look in the ability of chromium ions to catalyze p is a giant molecule of the polysaccharide layer of chromium ions (probably clusters), manifesting tanning properties that stops bleeding and promotes granulation (healing) wounds. The claimed concentration range for ions of chromium(3+): 5 to 10 mg per 10 g of the acid is not arbitrary but is determined by the following considerations. At concentrations below 5 mg/10 g effect of ions(3+) is not detected, whereas at concentrations above 10 mg/100 g obvious irritant effect of chromium on the mucous membrane of the mouth.

Any action of the ions of chromium(2+) in similar conditions cannot be found, because in the air (i.e., under the influence of oxygen) divalent chromium instantly oxidized to the trivalent state.

With a long introduction into the oral cavity of the ions of chromium(3+) cannot be excluded blackening of the tooth enamel due to the formation of sulfide chromium CR2S3- product interaction chromium salt with hydrogen sulfide, the source of which are carious teeth or other putrefactive processes. In such cases it is recommended to rinse with hydrogen peroxide, translating black sulfide in almost white sulfate.

In detail the invention is illustrated by the following examples of its practical implementation.
