Complex starch-containing composition having high mechanical properties

 

The invention relates to a heterophase polymeric compositions having high resistance to aging under conditions of low temperature and humidity. The composition comprises a starch - 30-90% (based on weight of starch and a thermoplastic polymer incompatible with starch and plasticizer. Starch constitutes the dispersed phase and thermoplastic polymer continuous phase. This composition has an impact strength of more than 30 kJ/m2. In the x-ray spectrum of the composition has a peak at an angle 2within 13-14o, the ratio of the intensity in which with respect to the peak intensity of the amorphous starch, which takes place at an angle 2=20,5ois less than 2 and more than 0.02 and characterized by the presence of bands with wavelength 947 cm-1in its spectrum of the second derivative infrared spectroscopy with Fourier transform. The composition may contain water in an amount less than 5% and receive extruded material under the application of specific energy extrusion of 0.1-0.5 kWincluding Screws of the extruder have reverse profile on more than 30% of the length of the screw. Claims

1. Heterophase composition comprising starch, a thermoplastic polymer which is not compatible with starch and a plasticizer, in which the starch constitutes the dispersed phase and thermoplastic polymer is a continuous phase, and this composition has an impact strength of more than 30 kJ/m2measured on the resulting blown film having a thickness of 30 μm, with 10C and a relative humidity of less than 5%, and in the x-ray spectrum of the composition has a peak at an angle 2within 13-14, the ratio of the intensity in which with respect to the peak intensity of the amorphous starch, which takes place at an angle 220,5less than 2 and more than 0.02, and characterized by the presence of bands 947 cm-1in its spectrum of the second derivative infrared spectroscopy with Fourier transform, and the amount of thermoplastic polymer is from 30 to 90 wt.% per may from the group containing aliphatic compound (co)polyesters obtained from aliphatic hydroxyacids having 2 or more carbon atoms, or from the corresponding lactones or lactides, or from aliphatic bicarbonate acids having 2-22 carbon atoms, and from diols having 2-22 carbon atoms, aliphatic-aromatic complex sobolifera, complex, polyester-amides, complex polyester-ethers-amides, complex, polyester-urea and mixtures thereof.

The composition according to p. 2, in which a complex polyester is poly--caprolactone, polyethylene or polybutylene-succinate, polyacyladipate polyadipates diphenylsilanediol ether, polyacyladipate-succinate, polyacyladipate-caprolactone, poly--caprolacton/-caprolactam, polybutylene-co-terephthalate, polyalkyleneglycol, polyalkylbenzenes.

4. Composition according to any one of paragraphs.1-3, in which the plasticizer is a polyhydric alcohol having from 2 to 22 carbon atoms.

5. The composition according to p. 4, in which the plasticizer is selected from the group consisting of glycerin, polyglyceryl, glycerinated, acetate, sorbitol, diacetate sorbitol, mono - and diethoxylate saw connections:

a) esters of polyhydric alcohols with mono - or polybasic carboxylic acid with a dissociation constant RK is less than 4.5, which is comparable with the RoK first carboxyl group in the case of polybasic carboxylic acids and hydrophilic-lipophilic index more than 8; (b) esters of polyhydric alcohols with mono - and polybasic carboxylic acid having at least 12 carbon atoms, the values of RK less than 4.5 and hydrophilic/lipophilic index equal to from 5.5 to 8; (c) esters of polyhydric alcohols with fatty12-C22acids having hydrophilic-lipophilic index equal to less than 5.5; (d) nonionic water-soluble surfactant and (e) reaction products of aliphatic or aromatic diisocyanates with polymers containing end groups that react with diisocyanates.

7. Heterophase composition comprising starch and a thermoplastic polymer which is not compatible with starch in which the starch constitutes the dispersed phase and thermoplastic polymer is a continuous phase, having an impact strength of more than 30 kJ/m2measured on the resulting blown film having a thickness of 30 μm, with 10C and relative humidity less than 5% received exitnow temperature, used in quantities of from 2 to 8 wt.% by weight of starch and a thermoplastic polymer, and water in an amount less than 5%, measured at the exit of the extruder before the conditioning specified melt extrudable under the application of specific energy extrusion of 0.1-0.5 kWh/kg, and the composition is characterized by the presence of bands 947 cm-1in its spectrum of the second derivative infrared spectroscopy with Fourier transform.

8. The composition according to p. 7, in which the amount of the plasticizer or mixture of plasticizers is between 3 and 7 wt.% in relation to the total weight of starch and a thermoplastic polymer, and the specific energy extrusion ranges from 0.2 to 0.5 kW.h/kg.

9. The composition according to p. 7 or 8, which is not compatible with thermoplastic starch polymer is selected from the group consisting of aliphatic complex (co)polyesters obtained from aliphatic hydroxyacids having 2 or more carbon atoms, or from the corresponding lactones or lactides, or from aliphatic bicarbonate acids having 2-22 carbon atoms, and from diols having 2-22 carbon atoms, aliphatic-aromatic complex sobolifera, complex, polyester-amides, complex polyester-ethers-amides, �://img.russianpatents.com/chr/949.gif">-caprolactone, polyethylene or polybutylene-succinate, polyacyladipate polyadipates diphenylsilanediol ether, polyacyladipate-succinate, polyacyladipate-caprolactone, poly--caprolacton/-caprolactam, polybutylene-co-terephthalate, polyalkyleneglycol, polyalkylbenzenes.

11. Composition according to any one of paragraphs.7-10, in which the plasticizer is a polyhydric alcohol having from 2 to 22 carbon atoms.

12. The composition according to p. 11, in which the plasticizer is selected from the group consisting of glycerin, polyglyceryl, glycerinated, acetate, sorbitol, diacetate sorbitol, mono - and diethoxylate sorbitol and mixtures thereof.

13. Composition according to any one of paragraphs.7-12, including interfacial agent is selected from the following classes of compounds: a) esters of polyhydric alcohols with mono - or polybasic carboxylic acid with a dissociation constant RK is less than 4.5, which is comparable with the RoK first carboxyl group in the case of polybasic carboxylic acids and hydrophilic-lipophilic index more than 8; (b) esters of polyhydric alcohols with mono - and polybasic carboxylic acid having at least 12 carbon atoms, the values of RK less than 4.5 and hydrophilic-Tami having a hydrophilic-lipophilic index equal to less than 5.5; (d) nonionic water-soluble surfactant and (e) reaction products of aliphatic or aromatic diisocyanates with polymers containing end groups that react with diisocyanates.

14. Industrial products obtained from the compositions according to any one of paragraphs.1-13.

A method of obtaining a composition according to any one of paragraphs.1-13, in which the melt containing starch, is not compatible with thermoplastic starch polymer, plasticizer and water with the final content regulated to less than 5 wt.%, ekstragiruyut in the extruder equipped with a screw having reverse profile on more than 30% of the length of the screw.
