The disadvantage of the proposed method is its lack of maturity, not specific substances that are used to solve the problem, and ways to perform this task.

There is also known a method of preventing water pollution, selected as a prototype, by using protective mineral barrier comprising at least one layer of crushed minerals such as nepheline (C. RF 94021090, G 21 F 9/24, "Mineral barrier for isolation of radiation-dangerous objects", publ. 10.02.96).

However, the disadvantage of this method is that it is purified water contaminated by radioactive substances, the water is only isolated from the environment, the Pripyat.

The problem faced by the inventors is the creation of a simple cost-effective method of purification of water contaminated with radionuclides flowing water body with natural minerals.
