The method of producing oxides of manganese sulphate manganese

(57) Abstract:

The invention relates to chemical processing of manganese ores, in particular the production of concentrates chemical enrichment for the metallurgical industry. The technical result is simplification of the process and obtain a more pure product. The method of producing oxides of manganese from manganese sulfate includes the deposition of compounds of manganese with the reagent. Precipitation of oxides of manganese produced by oxidation with oxygen, including air, from Aminatou manganese formed in the ternary system - ammonium sulfate, manganese sulfate, ammonia. Moreover, the concentration of the starting solution is within the stability of the ternary system is as follows: ammonium sulfate ranging from 20% to 25%, manganese sulfate from 2 to 200 g/l, ammonia from 0.5 to 20 g/L.

The invention relates to the field of chemical processing of manganese ores, in particular the production of concentrates of chemical enrichment (CWC) for the metallurgical industry.

All known methods of obtaining the CWC includes two main stages - the leaching of manganese from ore by putting it into solution in the form of sulfate, nitrate or chloride of manganese and deposition of restorasi in General, and as the destination and composition of by-products.

A method of obtaining manganese from solutions of sulfate, nitrate, chloride, manganese, and determined the flow rate of the precipitant is ammonium bicarbonate (BKA), ammonia or calcium oxide. From a solution of sulphate of manganese evaporation receive crystalline manganese sulfate containing 35.2% of MP and 0,004% R. From this solution by precipitation BKA receive manganese carbonate composition, %: 47 MP; 3,50 Mg; 0,56 Ca; 0,001 p A deposition of manganese oxide with ammonia in an autoclave, the resulting product composition, %: 68 MP; 0,01 P; 0,06 Fe; 1.0 Mg; 0.5 To Ca; 0,05 non-ferrous metals (state of the manganese-ore base in Russia and ensuring industry manganese. Proceedings of the first scientific-technical conference. Ed. by L. A. Smirnova - Ekaterinburg, 2000, S. 210).

The disadvantages of the method-analogue is that oxides of manganese in the deposition of lead substances in solution, and the final product is the result obtained with a large number of impurities and precipitates thus poorly filtered.

A method of obtaining the CWC, including the leaching of carbonate or restored oxide of manganese ore with sulfuric acid followed by treatment of the manganese sulfate ammonium carbonate and Poluneev from sulphate solutions and dithionate manganese, - SPb. Mekhanobr, 1994, S. 3-10).

The disadvantages of this method is that the method is inefficient, and the obtained residue poorly filtered, contains many by-products and requires firing.

A known method of producing oxides of manganese from manganese sulfate, including deposition oxidation by oxygen, including air, from Aminatou formed in the ternary system - ammonium sulfate, manganese sulfate, ammonia (US 2122735, class C 01 G 45/02, 05.07.1938).

By the greatest number of similar features and achieved when using the result of this technical solution is selected as a prototype.

The disadvantage of the prototype, which does not allow to achieve our objective, is its complexity and the limited chemical properties of substances obtained in this way.

The technical result is to simplify the process and obtain a more pure product.

To achieve the technical result of the proposed method of producing oxides of manganese from manganese sulfate, including deposition of oxides with oxygen, including air, oxides of manganese from Aminatou formed in the ternary system - sulfate ammonium sulfate mania to obtain concentrations in solution: ammonium sulfate ranging from 20% to 25%, manganese sulfate from 2 to 200 g/l, ammonia from 0.5 to 20 g/L.

Distinctive features of the proposed method are the composition and concentrations of the liquid phase and the oxidizing agent is oxygen, including air. This allows you to get the most straightforward way more clean compared to the prototype of the final product.

The method is as follows.

In a reactor with a turbine stirrer, containing some amount of 20-25% of ammonium sulfate, continuously in stoichiometric ratio with intensive stirring serves 20-25% solution of manganese sulfate concentration from 2 to 200 g/l and an ammonia concentration of from 0.5 to 20 g/L. Turbine stirrer provides intensive interaction of the liquid phase with oxygen or air and crystallization of oxides of manganese. Resulting slurry is withdrawn on a filter, separating the solid precipitate, washed it, dried and shipped to the consumer.

Example.

In a reactor with a capacity of 100 l with turbine stirrer pour 50 l of 20% ammonium sulphate and 0.5 kg of oxides of manganese for starters. Then, under stirring at the same time add 4.5 l of a 25% aqueous solution of ammonia concentration 8 g/l and 13 liters of 30% solution of manganese sulfate concentratin to 3 g/l, and manganese sulfate to 10 g/l, i.e., formed 600 g IGOs. The specific productivity of the reactor was 30 kg/m3. After washing and drying the precipitate obtained a product containing 95% of Mno, 0.1 CA, K, MP, and the rest of hydrated water.

The present invention allows for the most simple way, with minimal source reagents, to obtain a more pure in comparison with analogues, manganese concentrate iron and steel industry.

The method of producing oxides of manganese from manganese sulfate, including deposition of oxides with oxygen, including air, oxides of manganese from Aminatou formed in the ternary system - ammonium sulfate, manganese sulfate, ammonia, characterized in that the triple system Aminatou obtained by introducing a solution of sulphate of manganese and ammonia in a solution of ammonium sulfate to obtain concentrations in solution: ammonium sulfate ranging from 20% to 25%, manganese sulfate from 2 to 200 g/l, ammonia from 0.5 to 20 g/L.
