Epoxy composition for protection against corrosion of machine parts and mechanisms

 

The invention relates to epoxy compositions and can be used for protection against corrosion of machine parts and mechanisms, working in contact with corrosive environments in engineering, as well as for the protection of oil field equipment, containers, tanks and reservoirs. The invention consists in that the epoxy composition comprising an epoxy resin ED-20, the resin oxilan-5 or oxilan-6, aminophenolic hardener AF-2, Aerosil, polyethylenepolyamine and toluene, further comprises a finely ground powder made of quartz glass. A certain combination of components provides the durability of the coating. 3 table.

The invention relates to epoxy compositions and can be used in the engineering, oil and petrochemical industry for corrosion protection of parts of machines and mechanisms, working in contact with corrosive environments, as well as for protection and oil and gas equipment, containers, cisterns and tanks.

The closest technical solution to the claimed invention is an epoxy composition /Patent RF 2165947/ includes epoxy resin ED-20, the resin oxilan-5 or oxilan-6, aminophenolic hardener AF-2, Aerosil, polyethylenepolyamine, toluene and aluminum powder in the following ratio, wt.h.: Epoxy resin ED-20 - 78-82 Resin oxilan-5 or oxilan-6 - 18-22

Aerosil - 3-3,5
The polyethylenepolyamine - 6-9

The disadvantage of the prototype is a low protective properties of coatings deposited on large areas of the surface (tanks, reservoirs, large equipment) because of the emergence of significant stress in the temperature fluctuations caused by different coefficients of thermal expansion of core materials (usually steel, cast iron) and coatings.

The invention consists in that the known epoxy composition comprising an epoxy resin ED-20, the resin oxilan-5 or oxilan-6, aminophenolic hardener AF-2, Aerosil, polyethylenepolyamine, toluene, according to the invention additionally contains quartz powder in the following ratio, wt.h.:
Epoxy resin ED-20 - 65-70
Resin oxilan-5 or oxilan-6 - 30-35
Aminophenolic hardener AF-2 - 5-7
Aerosil - 3-3,5
The polyethylenepolyamine - 6-9
Toluene - 12-18
Quartz powder - 60-80
To obtain this invention epoxy compositions used epoxy resin ED-20 GOST 10587-84, the resin oxilan-5 or oxilan-6 (polychlorodibenzodioxins resin) THAT 6-02-1376-87, AF-2 TU 6-05-1663-79, Aerosil GOST 14922-77, polyethylenepolyamine (Pepa) THAT 202.2-906-86, toluene GOST 5789-78, quartz powder, powdered GOST 9077-82.

Epoxy composition for protection against corrosion of machine parts equipment are made on the basis of epoxy resin ED-20 in the form of ready-made compounds with other additives in accurate dosing and mixing, and curing AF-2 and polyethylenepolyamine add in the investments in the forms at a temperature of 18 - 22oWith in 48 hours (table. 1).

Examples of preparation and testing.

Example 1. Epoxy resin ED-20 65 wt.h., the resin oxilan-5 to 35 wt.h., Aerosil 3 wt.h., toluene 15 wt.h, quartz powder, 70 wt.h. carefully mix in a glass jar, then add the polyethylenepolyamine 6 wt.h. and AF-2 7 wt.h., continuing intensive mixing. Depending on what characteristics to be determined, prepared composition fill out the appropriate form or applied to the surface of the substrate steel (20). The curing of the samples was performed at room temperature for 48 h, after which determine the properties. The results are given in table. 2.

Example 2. Epoxy resin ED-20 to 70 wt.h., the resin oxilan-5 to 30 wt.h., Aerosil 3,5 wt. 'clock , toluene 15 wt.h., quartz powder is 70 wt.h. carefully mix in a glass vessel, and then, continuing intensive mixing, add hardeners: polyethylenepolyamine 9 wt.h. and AF-2 5 wt.h. The composition was filled in the appropriate form or applied to the surface of the substrate steel (20). The curing of the samples was carried out at room temperature for 48 h, after which he spent defining properties. The results of the measurements are presented in table. 3.

The use of the proposed composition will increase the effectiveness of protection and service life of equipment, working in contact with corrosive environments compared to the prototype.

The polyethylenepolyamine - 6-9
Toluene - 12-18
