Paint and method of producing bitumen paint

 

The invention relates to the production of paint and varnish materials, in particular based paints bituminous materials. The objective of the invention is to provide inks with improved properties, namely with less drying time and higher hardness, and a method of producing bitumen for the manufacture of this paint. The problem is solved by the development of paints, including bitumen, a petroleum resin, a pigment, a filler and a solvent, and as it contains bitumen oxidation product mixture, wt.%: tar - 72-90, tall oil - 6-18, pyrolusite - 3-6,5, pentaerythritol - 1-3,5, and as a pigment and filler powder pellets mining and processing plant in the following ratio, wt.%: bitumen 6,0-29,0, petroleum resin is 0.5 to 2.6, powder pellets mining and processing plant 43,4-83,0, solvent - rest. The task is also solved by a method for obtaining bitumen paint, including the oxidation of crude oil. Developed a method for obtaining bitumen paint can reduce the duration of the process, to increase the output upon receipt of refractory bitumen, while improving their properties. 2 C. p. The invention relates to producing various fields of national economy, require materials with high moisture resistance, resistance to peeling and cracking.

Known paint (OST 6-10-426-79 "Paint BT-177". Technical requirements), including bitumen, film-forming component (oxidized vegetable oil), pigment (aluminum powder) and the solvent. Paint is characterized by insufficiently high performance of water - and weather resistance, which leads to flaking covered with prolonged exposure to water (more than 24 hours).

Closest to the present invention is a paint comprising bitumen, a petroleum resin, filler, pigment and metallurgical powder MP-1 (waste dust metallurgical production) and the solvent in the following ratio, wt.%: bitumen - 5-20, petroleum resin - 9-28, filler - 8-15, pigment - 8-20, solvent - rest (RF patent 2124032, 6 09 D 195/00 // (09 D 195/00, 157:02, 1998).

The disadvantages of this paint are relatively long drying time and not enough high hardness.

For manufacturing use bitumen special brand of G (GOST 21827-76) and the high-melting bitumen (rubrics) according to GOST 781-68. Bitumen special brand of G according to GOST 21827-76 is produced by oxidation of tar to polucheniya oxidation of tar in the presence of alkali to obtain a product with a softening temperature of from 135oWith up to 150oC. Such bitumens have the ability to form certain solvents varnishes contain reduced amounts of substances insoluble in hot benzene (not > 0,15%), and substances that are insoluble in carbon disulfide, chloroform or trichloroethylene (less than 1%).

These bitumen is a long process of oxidation of the oil residue. In addition, the output of bitumen with such high softening temperature in the calculation of the oxidizable raw material is relatively low.

A method of obtaining oxidized bitumen by blowing air at an elevated temperature through the oil residues. The oxidation is carried out at 250-280oWith and air flow rate of 1.76-2.5 l/(minkg) to obtain a bitumen road and building brands and 280-350oWith and air flow rate of 2.5-3,52 l/(minkg) for refractory bitumen (special and Rubakov). The duration of the oxidation process reaches 12 or more hours depending on the softening temperature of the final product (R. B. Gong. Petroleum bitumen. M. : Chemistry, 1989).

The disadvantages of the method are significant duration of oxidation, high temperature process of obtaining refractory bitumen of aracter of raw materials and for this reason does not always satisfy the requirements of GOST special bitumen.

Object of the present invention is to provide inks with improved properties, namely with less drying time and higher hardness while maintaining high values of the other physical and mechanical properties and method of producing bitumen for the manufacture of this paint.

The problem is solved by the development of paints, including bitumen, a petroleum resin, a pigment, a filler and a solvent. Moreover, as it contains bitumen oxidation product mixture 72,0 to 90.0 wt.% tar, the 6.0-18.0 wt. % tall oil, a 3.0-6.6 wt.% of pyrolusite and 1.0 to 3.5 wt.% pentaerythritol, and as a pigment and filler powder pellets mining and processing plant in the following ratio, wt.%: bitumen 6,0-29,0, petroleum resin is 0.5 to 2.6, powder pellets mining and processing plant 43,4-83,0, solvent - rest. The task is also solved by a method for obtaining bitumen paint, including the oxidation of crude oil. And as crude oil, a mixture of 72,0 to 90.0 wt.% tar 6-18 wt.% oil tall, 3-6,5 wt.% of pyrolusite and 1-3,5 wt.% pentaerythritol.

The grain size of powder pellets: sieve residue 0.14 mm - not more than 2 wt.%; chemical composition, wt.%: F the polymer resin - on THE other 2451-089-05766801-99 (softening temperature is not lower than 85-l00oC, the mass fraction of volatile substances is not more than 0.3 to 1.0%, the solubility in the double volume of xylene and white spirit, taken in the ratio 1:1, full).

Example paint preparation. The bitumen is dissolved at a temperature of 120oWith the solvent (xylene, toluene, mineral spirit). In the resulting solution is injected petroleum resin and powder pellets mining and processing plant in the claimed amount with continuous stirring. The mass is stirred to obtain milling the obtained composition 50 microns.

Examples of performance paint and properties of coatings based on it are presented in table.1.

To define the properties of the coatings investigated samples of paint is applied in layers on the prepared metal surface with a paint sprayer or a brush and define the following properties: drying time at the temperature of 20+20C to degree 3 (GOST 19007-73, the adhesion of the film, points (GOST 15140-78), the film hardness by pendulum device M-3, sm. units (GOST 5233-77), the elasticity of the film at the bend, mm (GOST 6806-73), the strength of the film upon impact, cm (GOST 4765-73), the water resistance and weather resistance by the method of accelerated testing (GOST 9042-75).

As follows from the table the t time of drying (up to 1.5-1.0 hours, compared to 4-8 hours for the prototype), while ensuring high physical-mechanical properties (adhesion, the elasticity of the film when the bending strength at impact) and decorative properties (smooth, without craters and wrinkles, semi-glossy and homogeneous film). In addition, the inventive paint is characterized by high stability, does not separate during storage, does not SAG when painting vertical surfaces.

The method of producing bitumen paint is the following. In oxidative cube load in the estimated quantities of tar, tall oil, pyrolusite and pentaerythritol.

Indicators tar: softening temperature by Kish - 29oC density, g/cm3- 0,958, the sulfur content of 5.0%, the content, wt.%: oils - 45,5, resin - 42,2, asphaltenes - 12,3.

The tall oil in THE 13-00281074-26-95 (acid number of 170 mg KOH/g, saponification number - 182 mg KOH/g mass fraction of unsaponifiable substances and 1.8%, mass fraction of resin acids - 20%).

Pyrolusite on THE 6-10-1806-86 (mass fraction of manganese - not more than 80%, mass fraction of moisture - not more than 1%).

The pentaerythritol according to GOST 9286-76 (crystallization temperature of not less than 154-156,5oWith, the ash content is not more than 0.02%, moisture not more than 0,2-0,4%, the content of non-volatile substances is not more than (0,2-0,5)3% The oxidation is carried out at 250oWith the air flow of 2.0 l/min until reaching the softening temperature p is for paint preparation are given in table.3.

As follows from the table. 3, the proposed method for obtaining bitumen paint can significantly reduce the duration of the process (3.6-4,28 time), increase the output upon receipt of refractory bitumen (28-35,7%), while improving their properties (content of substances insoluble in hot benzene, declining 4.4-5.0 times). Apparently, involvement in the tar identified in the proposed method, components slows down the formation of substances insoluble in hot benzene (carbon and carboids), and increases the resin formation that, ultimately, improves the properties of the paints prepared with bitumen obtained by the proposed method. However, these advantages characteristic of bitumen having a lower softening temperature (95-110oC) than on the requirements of GOST 21822-76 on special bitumen paint products at grade B, and G (110-135oC) and GOST 781-68 on the high-melting bitumen (125-150oC).
