The described method of producing a catalyst comprising a mixture of raw materials, which take the spent catalyst in the oxidation of carbon monoxide on the basis of manganese dioxide, copper oxide and a binder is bentonite clay with water, forming granules, drying, grinding and heat treatment. Thus, before forming additional add bentonite clay in an amount of 0.5 to 4.5 wt. % of feedstock. The method allows to significantly improve the durability of the catalyst. table 1.

The invention relates to the field of inorganic chemistry and can be used in particular for the preparation of the catalyst used for the decomposition of ozone in production with his participation, namely, water treatment, wastewater treatment, processing of semiconductors in the electronics industry, sterilization in medicine and disinfection in rural Hey respiratory and emissions of industrial enterprises, for purification of exhaust gases of internal combustion engines, as well as for other industrial and environmental purposes.

A method of obtaining a catalyst comprising a mixture of manganese dioxide and copper oxide with a binder bentonite clay, molding granules, drying the molded pellets at a temperature of 60-90oC for 10-15 hours, grinding and heat treatment at a temperature of 250-370oWith (U.S. Pat. RF 2083279 from 31.10.95,, CL 01 J 23/889, 37/04//(01 J 23/84, 101:62)).

The disadvantage of this method is the high cost industrial process for the preparation of the catalyst, due to the high cost of the raw material.

Closest to the proposed technical substance and the number of matching signs is the way to obtain a catalyst for the oxidation of carbon monoxide, comprising the mixing of raw materials, which take the spent catalyst in the oxidation of carbon monoxide on the basis of manganese dioxide, copper oxide and a binder is bentonite clay, with water containing free sulfuric acid in the amount of 5-15 wt.%, and potassium permanganate in the amount of 0.5-2.0 wt.%, forming granules, drying the molded pellets at a temperature of 20-50oWith, droblek the>

The disadvantage of this method is low (not more than 61,7%) the strength of the catalyst.

The claimed invention is directed to solving the following objectives: increase the strength of the catalyst, which is achieved by the proposed method, including mixing of raw materials, which take the spent catalyst in the oxidation of carbon monoxide on the basis of manganese dioxide, copper oxide and a binder is bentonite clay, water, molding granules, drying, grinding and heat treatment.

The difference of the proposed method against known is that before forming additional add bentonite clay in an amount of 0.5 to 4.5 wt.% from the source of raw materials.

Of scientific and technical literature author unknown process operation for more additions before forming bentonite clay in an amount of 0.5 to 4.5 wt.% from the source of raw materials.

The method is as follows.

In the mixer pour 4,5-5,5 liters of water, include a mixing device, add 0.9-1.1 kg spent catalyst oxidation of carbon monoxide on the basis of manganese dioxide, copper oxide and a binder is bentonite clay and continue peremeshivaete mixer, equipped with a steam jacket, add bentonite clay in an amount of 0.005-0,052 kg, which is 0.5 to 4.5 wt.%, stirred for 30-45 min and formed into pellets by a screw granulator at a temperature of 100-110oAnd pressure of 35-45 ATM through a Spinneret hole diameter 1,0-3,0 mm Molded granules are dried at a temperature of 60-90oC for 10-15 hours, crushed, sieved fraction of 1-5 mm, and conducting heat treatment at a temperature of 250-350oC. the resulting catalyst has the following composition: manganese dioxide 50-70 wt. %, copper oxide 8-25 wt.%, bentonite clay 10-15 wt.%, impurity - rest. The strength of the obtained catalyst is 65,4-81,5%. The strength of the catalyst obtained by a known method, is 52,3-61.7 per cent.

The invention is illustrated by the following examples.

Example 1.

In the mixer pour 5 liters of water, include a mixing device, add 1 kg of spent catalyst in the oxidation of carbon monoxide on the basis of manganese dioxide, copper oxide and a binder is bentonite clay and continue stirring for 2 hours. After mixing, the paste was filtered and washed of impurities. The resulting paste with a humidity of 50% load in a paddle mixer, snable paste at a temperature of 50oC for 0.6 hours to a moisture content of 33%. The resulting paste is unloaded and molded on to the screw granulator at a pressure of 40 ATM and a temperature of 110oWith through a Spinneret hole diameter of 1 mm Formed granules are dried at a temperature of 80oWith in 12 hours. The dried granules are crushed, sieved fraction of 1-3 mm, and conducting heat treatment at a temperature of 300oC. the strength of the catalyst is of 65.4%.

Example 2.

The process, as in example 1, except the amount of added before forming bentonite clay, which amounted to 0.025 kg (2.5 wt. %). The strength of the obtained catalyst is 79,1%.

Example 3.

The process, as in example 1, except the amount of added before forming bentonite clay, which was 0,045 kg (4.5 wt. %). The strength of the catalyst is of 80.9%.

The results of the study of the influence of the amount of added before forming bentonite clay on the strength of the catalyst shown in the table.

As follows from the data shown in the table, adding before forming bentonite clay strength of the catalyst increases. Adding bentonite is estwe more than 4.5 wt.% does not lead to any significant increase in the durability of the catalyst.

Thus, the proposed method can significantly improve the durability of the catalyst.

Implementation of the proposed method makes the catalyst to a wider range of consumers and can significantly extend the scope of application of the catalyst in water treatment, wastewater treatment, processing of semiconductors in the electronics industry, sterilization in medicine and disinfection in agriculture, as well as for other industrial and environmental purposes.

From the above it follows that each of the signs stated together to a greater or lesser extent affect the solution of the problem, namely to increase the strength of the catalyst, and the entirety is sufficient to characterize the claimed technical solution.

A method of producing a catalyst comprising a mixture of raw materials, which take the spent catalyst in the oxidation of carbon monoxide on the basis of manganese dioxide, copper oxide and a binder is bentonite clay with water, forming granules, drying, grinding and heat treatment, characterized in that before forming additional add bentonite clay in an amount of 0.5 to 4.5 wt.% from
