In a smaller transverse holes 10 and 11 increases their wear (because it increases the rate of fluid flow), and at large - decreases the strength of the plunger 5 in the cross sections of the holes.

As shown, the tests of the experimental sample of the spool valve, the resistance of the seal exceeds 500 hours, with the durability of the spool valve more than 1200 hours, which exceeds the durability of cork cocks.
