Thermoplastic composition

(57) Abstract:

The invention relates to thermoplastic compositions based on mixtures of polymers and copolymers of styrene. Get thermoplastic composition based on a mixture of General purpose polystyrene 57,14 and 64.5 wt.%, high impact polystyrene from 25.8 40.0 wt.% and linear block copolymer of styrene and butadiene content blocks 25: 80-20:75, taken from 2,86 to 9.70 wt.%. Thermoplastic composition provides a high isotropy of physical-mechanical properties of the contour molding and termoformovannyh products. 5 table.

The present invention relates to thermoplastic compositions based on mixtures of polymers and copolymers of styrene, providing high isotropy of mechanical properties along the contour of the molded part.

The molding of polymer melts (injection molding, thermal molding and extrusion) occurs under conditions of high shear stresses or hood, causing the orientation of the macromolecules, which is the reason for the anisotropy of the mechanical properties of finished products (encyclopedia of polymer. - So 2, S. 515).

It is known, for example, that the impact strength in the direction perpendicular to theodorou viscosity in the direction of flow (Century. Century. Lapshin. Fundamentals of processing of thermoplastics by injection molding. - M.: Chemistry, 1974. S. 182-193, encyclopedia of polymers. - T. 1, S. 144-146).

Known thermoplastic composition based on a mixture of polymer of styrene, copolymers and polymer modifier (patent of Russia 2061712) for the manufacture of shaped products. Composition due to their specific properties, shall be subject to, basically, injection molding, in which the form, orientation and no products have lower anisotropy of mechanical properties.

However, the composition under conditions of high shear forces do not provide the products with the desired set of mechanical properties.

Known thermoplastic composition (patent of Russia 2072377), including high impact polystyrene, polyethylene, and linear block copolymer of styrene and butadiene (20-80:80-20 wt.%) respectively. Proposed patent mixtures are easily recycled and are used for the manufacture of products with high mechanical properties. However, the composition cannot provide high-quality products using injection molding with isotropic mechanical properties along the contour of the products.

The composition has good thermal properties, and the film resistance to crazing.

However, this composition does not allow to obtain high-quality products due to the high anisotropy of mechanical properties along the contour of the products.

The technical problem is solved in that the composition comprising polystyrene and linear block copolymer of styrene and butadiene in a ratio of blocks 25:80-20:75 wt.% accordingly, further comprises a high impact polystyrene in the following ratio of the components of the composition, wt.%:

General purpose polystyrene - 57,14-64,5

High impact polystyrene - 25,8-40,0

Linear block-copolymer - 2,86-9,7

According to the invention use:

- General purpose polystyrene, GOST 20282-86, THE 2214-078-05766575-99;

- impact-resistant polystyrene, GOST 28250-89;

- secondary General purpose polystyrene MPs-115;

secondary impact-resistant polystyrene.

Compositions according to the invention may contain various functional and technological additives (stabilizers, p is agenie, GOST 11262;

elongation, GOST 11262;

impact strength, GOST 4647-80 and 16782-83.

Forming formulations of the compositions prepared in two stages. In the first stage, a mixture of polystyrene and linear block copolymer composition, wt.h.: 100: 15, 100: 10, 100:5 (or Mac.% 86,956:13,044, 90,90:9,1, 95,24:4,76) accordingly granularit in the extruder at a temperature of granulating head 1805oWith, and then (II) the finished granules are mixed with re-granulation with high impact polystyrene granules in a ratio, respectively, by weight. PM: 100:15:40, 100:10:60 and 100:5:70 (or Mac.% 64,5:9,7:25,8, 58,8: 5,9:35,3, 57,14:2,86:40,0).

From the finished granules by casting or thermovacuum forming molded products.

The invention is illustrated by examples.

Example 1

Composition is prepared from a mixture of polystyrene MPs-115 and the linear block copolymer of styrene and butadiene in a ratio of units wt.% accordingly, 25: 75, heat Vika 76oC and a molecular weight of 150,000 pre-granulation in the extruder at a temperature of granulating head 1805oAnd when the content of the components of the mixture, wt.h. (wt.%):

Polystyrene MPs-115 - 100,0 (86,956)

Block-copolymer - 15,0 (13,044)

After cooling, the finished edge of the soup of the head 2005oC.

Get the granules of the composition, wt.% (wt.h):

Polystyrene MPs-115 - 64,5 (100)

High-impact polystyrene, and 25.8 (40)

The linear block copolymer of 9.7 (15)

From the obtained pellets by the method of injection molding to form the product.

The cast modes (see table.A ).

The properties of final products are presented in table. 2.

Example 2-4.

Analogously to example 1 preliminary granulation at the first stage of preparing the mixture composition, wt.h. (wt.%) (see tab.B).

The composition of the finished granules are presented in table. 1.

From the composition of compounds 2-4 and composition of example 1 on the extruder mark "use of frm" form the film thickness of 0.27 mm and a width of 620 or 550 mm (see table.C).

The polymer melt composition of the slotted head takes on a 3-roll calender, where the required thickness is calibrated. After passing the 3rd shaft - cooling the film in a free state without deflection is wound into a roll with a linear speed of 15-20 m/ min and after complete cooling is fed to thermal vacuum forming.

The molding of the finished films carry on TFM "OVM".

Example 5-6.

Analogously to examples 1 and 2 prepare the molding compositions of the compositions according to examples 5 and 6 and the s are presented in table. 2.

Pellets of the compositions according to examples 2 and 4 by the method of injection molding molded articles. The properties of final products are presented in table. 2.

In table. 2 presents the methods of formation and properties of finished products.

The technical solution according to the invention allows the use in the composition of secondary raw materials.

Analysis of the data presented in table. 2, suggests that the use of the proposed compositions reduces the anisotropy of the mechanical properties of injection and termoformovannyh products and contributes to maintaining low anisotropy with their multiple processing.
