SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to obtaining coatings with disinfectant properties, meant for sanitising premises, equipment, preservation and disinfection of water, including drinking water. The method involves the following. First, a derivative of polyhexamethyleneguanidine is obtained in the form of a base or hydrophobic salt, for example, an oleate from polyhexamethyleneguanidine chloride. Further, a solution of the obtained derivative of polyhexamethyleneguanidine is prepared in water or organic solvent and a solution of hydrophobic film-forming polymer from a series of chlorosulfonated polyethylene, polytrichlorobutadiene in an organic solvent. The obtained solutions are mixed with formation of a film-forming interpolymer with defined ratios and concentration of the solutions. The film-forming interpolymer is deposited onto a prepared surface in form of a coating of at least three layers, and possibly in form of a composition with target additives. Each layer is dried in air and then undergoes final hardening. The hardened interpolymer (coating) should have mass ratios of the derivative of polyhexamethyleneguanidine and the hydrophobic polymer in the range of 7.5-45.0 and 55.0-92.5 respectively. An alternative to the method is depositing a coating of a film-forming interpolymer, also obtained by combining a derivative of polyhexamethyleneguanidine, possibly in form of a solution, with an epoxide compound, possibly combined with a hardener, and also possibly in form of a composition with target additives. After hardening of such a coating, the mass ratio of the derivative of polyhexamethyleneguanidine and the epoxide resin should be in the range of 32-34 and 66-68 respectively.
