SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to the field of construction of joined corrugated pipes. The slide ring for corrugated pipes is made from flexible material, has in its cross section, a V-shape, which converges to the longitudinal axis of symmetry of the ring. The periphery end part is formed from connection of arcs of circle quadrants, which run from the lateral surface of the sealing surface to the outer sealing perimeter, and a semicircle arc of smaller diameter, coupled with an arc of inverse curvature and smaller radius with a parallel longitudinal axis of symmetry of the ring through the rear part of the V-shaped body. On parts of the lateral surface of the ring, in the cross section of the V-shape, there are ring shaped projections, located concentrically relative to the longitudinal axis of symmetry of the ring, the same height as the bearing surface, and located on both sides of the ring in pairs, at equal displacements from the longitudinal axis of symmetry of the ring. The section of outer surface of the pipe adjacent to the face, inner diameter of the coupling member, and the length of ring space allow receiving the aligning unit to provide abutting the faces of coupling members for welding. The aligning unit is made of a bushing which receives the sealing rings for sealing the faces and outer surfaces of the pipe in the ring space.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes preliminary heating of metal to working soldering point over width of 2-5 cm. Welding rod placed in area of pipe connection is molten by flame of gas burner. In the course of heating and connecting the pipes, layer of flux is applied on connection zone and adjacent zone over width of 2 cm. Welding rod may be made from alloy containing copper, zinc, silicon, tin; diameter of welding rod is 1.5-5 mm. Working temperature of alloy is 880-890 C, tensile strength, up to 500 N/sq mm and relative elongation, up to 20%.

SUBSTANCE: proposed pipe line unit includes two pipes with sleeves fitted on their ends; sleeves are welded to pipes. Pipes are manufactured from high-strength cast iron. Specification contains data on ratio of sleeve length and thickness of its wall to diameter of pipe. Members of proposed pipe line unit may be made from high-strength cast iron containing globular graphite; welded seams may be made by nickel-containing alloy or high-strength cast iron.
