This paper describes a new, enhanced environmentally acceptable composition icing, which contains the by-products of the process of wet milling of corn, and these by-products are decomposed biologically. The invention relates to the use of this composition in such a way as to reduce the formation of snow and ice on roads, bridges, runways, taxiways, and other exterior surfaces. The composition contains 14 - 80 wt.% substances dissolved in the impregnating water obtained in the process of wet milling of corn, and 20 to 86 wt.% water. A method of inhibiting the accumulation of snow and ice by using this composition. Described antifreeze composition icing, a composition for inhibiting the corrosive action of chloride salts, having the same composition as the composition icing. 12 C. and 11 C.p. f-crystals, 5 PL.

The invention relates to an environmentally acceptable composition icing with a slight corrosive effect, which contains the by-products of the process of wet milling of corn, and these by-products are decomposed biologically. This is ü reducing the formation of snow and ice on the roads, bridges, runways, taxiways, and other exterior surfaces.

It is well known that ice and snow on the roads and bridges, significantly slow down the traffic and present a heightened danger for the entire population. To eliminate some of the transportation problems often use mechanical removal of snow. It is also known that such chemical compounds as chloride salts, either in solid form or in solution, or mixed with sand and other substances are often used for treatment of carriageways in order to melt snow and ice. However, most anti-icing harm the environment, and therefore, local authorities often limit the amount and type of substances that can be used to help control the formation of snow and ice.

Most of the chemical agents used for treatment of carriageways harmful for the following reasons. They destroy the soil and surrounding vegetation, as these salt-alkalinized soil, in addition, they are absorbed by the root system of plants. They harm the sources of fresh water, rivers and lakes and are often absorbed into the groundwater systems. These salts causes the piece due to the corrosive action of these salts. The present invention relates to environmentally friendly antifreeze compositions icing, the active component of which is a by-product of the process of wet milling of corn, known in the industry as a sealing water. This composition is soluble in water, has a negligible corrosive effect, cheap and accessible in large quantities. The present invention also relates to priming, taxiways and other exterior surfaces.

In General, substances that are intended for use against icing, should have the following characteristics: suitable solubility in water, low-temperature freezing in solution, the availability on an industrial scale at a low cost; no corrosive action, environmental compatibility and the possibility of their application are well known and available means.

Given the foregoing, the main object of the present invention to provide an antifreeze composition icing suitable for removing ice and snow from the surface; and this composition is soluble in water, has a low freezing point, cheap and accessible worldwide on an industrial scale, has a negligible corrosive effect, compatible with the environment and can be applied using currently available equipment and the existing screws.

Another objective of the present invention is the development compatible with the environment of the composition icing, which has a negligible corrosive effect and has konkurentosposobnoti, compatible with the environment, with a slight corrosive effect, which can be used in a mixture with sand, river gravel, slag, sawdust or other road filler that reduces slipping and which subsequently is applied to roads, bridges, runways, taxiways, and other exterior surfaces, which are preferably free from snow and ice.

Another objective of the present invention is to develop a composition icing, compatible with the environment, which can be used for treatment of roads, bridges and other exterior surfaces prior to the accumulation of snow and ice to prevent accumulation of ice and snow on such surfaces.

Another objective of the present invention is to develop a composition icing, compatible with the environment, with a slight corrosive effect, which can be used in a mixture with other chemical agents against icing and/or chemical agents that reduce the slip that is applied to roads, bridges, runways, taxiways, and other exterior surfaces, which preferably asvab the roads, bridges and other exterior surfaces of snow and ice, which comprises applying the composition of the present invention icing on these surfaces either in pure form prior to the accumulation of snow and ice, or mixed with chemical additives anti-icing or other additives that reduce slipping.

These problems are solved in that the composition for inhibiting the accumulation of snow and ice contains substances dissolved in the impregnating water obtained in the process of wet milling of corn, and these substances are decomposed biologically.

In another embodiment of the invention the composition further comprises at least one component selected from the group consisting of sodium chloride, calcium chloride, potassium chloride, magnesium chloride, calcium acetate and magnesium and urea.

In yet another embodiment of the invention, the composition for inhibiting the accumulation of snow and ice contains substances dissolved in the impregnating water obtained in the process of wet milling of corn.

The composition may further contain an additive that reduces slippage, or optionally contain at least one component selected from the group comprised the ASS="ptx2">

In yet another embodiment of the invention antifreeze composition icing for inhibiting the accumulation of snow and ice on outdoor surfaces contains 14 - 80 wt.% substances dissolved in the impregnating water obtained in the process of wet milling of corn, and 20 to 86 wt.% water.

The objective of the invention is solved by a method of inhibiting the accumulation of snow and ice on the outer surfaces of the applied composition containing substances dissolved in the impregnating water obtained in the process of wet milling of corn, number 47 - 141 liters per 1 km.

The composition against corrosion chloride salt can be selected from the group consisting of sodium chloride, calcium chloride, potassium chloride and magnesium chloride.

In the present invention the composition icing is a byproduct of the process of wet grinding shelled corn. The process of wet milling is often used to obtain such basic products as corn oil, dextrose, corn syrup, enriched fructose, dextrin, starch and animal feed. During the process of soaking the corn grains are softened by soaking them in a hot solution containing a very small amount of sulfurous acid. 6. The composition can be applied in the form of a solution that provides quick and even application with the help of the car even when the speed of the last 56 km/h and above.

7. The composition is a low-grade and low-value industrial by-product, available in large quantities in many States, located in the snow belt. Its availability in the areas of the potential market will help reduce costs because of the proximity of the production of a solution of the composition to the area of its application of negotaite, and its industrial use will support U.S. farmers and agricultural industry.

9. The composition of the present invention is biodegradable and also has a low biological oxygen demand (BOD). CORROSION TESTS

ENVIRONMENTAL TESTING

Tests were performed to determine the biological oxygen consumption (in kg) per 1 kg of various mixtures of the composition of the present invention. The composition of the present invention is now used as low-grade food additive for animals.
