The invention relates to methods of water quality control. You can find application in environmental monitoring and sanitary-Toxicological control of the waters. The method consists in the registration of the change of pH in the room dry yeast Saccharomyces cerevisae in a water sample. The alkalization of the sample indicates the absence of toxicants. The method improves the expressiveness of assessing and reducing the cost of its application. 2 Il.

The invention relates to methods of water quality control and may find application in environmental monitoring and sanitary-Toxicological control of the waters.

Known methods of biotesting, based on test responses of unicellular and multicellular organisms [1,2]. These methods involve the use of live cultures of organisms that are in the active stage of development that requires additional qualification of laboratory personnel and the use of special technical means. To register test reactions used or muliobjective visual inspection, or expensive special measuring equipment (for example, [3]). These disadvantages have prevented its widespread adoption biotesting in practice and the apis alba [4]. It does not require the maintenance of a living culture, however, long-term (24 hours), requires the use of special equipment and uses visual inspection. In addition, the test object (the seeds of Sinapis alba) are not widely used material for chemical-analytical laboratories.

The closest analogue of the claimed method is a method of assessing the toxicity of wastewater, according to which as the test object using a strain of Saccharomyces cerevisae, fixed toxic influence on cytotoxic and lethal factor, whereas mutagenic effect is to increase the number of mutants [5].

The main disadvantage of the prototype is a long preparatory period (two days), and the necessity of waiting for the results within 4-5 days, followed by cytotoxic analysis with the use of special equipment.

The invention solves the problem of increasing the expressiveness assess the overall toxicity of the water and reduce the cost of its application.

To achieve the specified result, in the method of estimating the total water toxicity using the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisae, placed in a water sample, as a test reaction using the alkalization of the sample during activation of the Hom.

The basis of the proposed method properly found by the authors of the phenomenon in the transient alkalization of the environment in the transition of dry yeast in the active phase of development [6]. It is experimentally shown that the presence in the environment of toxins leads to the phenomenon of alkalization is missing.

The proposed method is illustrated by the flowchart shown in Fig. 1, and charts the changes in pH of the medium made it a test object from time to time depending on availability (Fig. 2A) or absence (Fig. 2B) of a toxicant.

Equipment to assess the overall toxicity of water include chemical glass 1 with a sample capacity of 100 - 150 ml installed on a magnetic stirrer 2, pH-meter with 3 electrode system 4 and the electronic recorder 5.

The method is implemented as follows.

In the sample, placed in a glass 1, over 30 to under stirring measured initial pH value. Then, while continuing the stirring, the sample quickly add 0.1 - 0.2 g of dry yeast and measure pH within 2 minutes. In the absence of an electronic data logger can measure on a scale pH meter every 10 s for 2 minutes and then build the graph.

Daphnia are immersed firstly in solution or water for culturing to be tested and then daphnia are transferred into lightproof chamber with outlet hole for culturing and this chamber is immersed into water. Time passing out daphnia from the testing chamber to light is measured and toxicity of analyzed solution is estimated by difference time in daphnia passing out. Method allows carrying out the rapid control of water and aqueous extracts toxicity in laboratory and field conditions.
