(57) Abstract:

Usage: foam extinguishing media fire intended for transportation, storage and application of liquid temperatures. The composition contains a surfactant IS 6K or Foretel" 12 - 24 wt.%, frost-resistant additive is ammonium acetate 10 - 52 wt.%, higher fatty alcohols fraction6-C121.5 to 3.0 wt.% and water the rest. The composition has a lower corrosion activity. table 4.

The invention relates to foam means of extinguishing fires, intended for transportation, storage and use in low temperatures.

Known as freeze foaming and. C. the USSR N 535088, CL A 62 D 1/02, 1976. The freezing point of the concentrate is not higher than minus 35oC. Produced by THE 33 10969-82 this foam showed a tendency to delamination during storage and therefore has not found practical application.

Also known foaming agent, and.with. USSR N 1098552, CL A 62 D 1/02, 1984. The temperature of the freezing frost-resistant foam is not higher than minus 40oC.

The composition of the foaming agent includes wt.%:

Surfactant surfactant - 26 - 29

Atlend the alkalinity of the environment, pH /pH = 8.0 to 10.5 and high corrosiveness of the foaming agent.

Closest to the invention in composition and application area is frost-resistant foam for extinguishing fires, and.with. USSR N 1292793, C And 62 D 1/02, 1985, selected as a prototype.

The foaming agent includes the following components, wt%:

SURFACTANT - 30 - 50

Ethanolamine - 10 - 20

Sodium acetate - 3 - 10

Sodium chloride, or a mixture of sodium nitrate with nitrite - 3 - 5

Higher fatty alcohols (VIS) - 1,8 - 2,0

Water - the Rest

The disadvantage is its high corrosiveness, which negatively affects the performance properties of the foaming agent: reduced regulatory retention of the blowing agent and the timing of operation of fire fighting equipment.

Lowering corrosive foaming agent is achieved in that the foamable composition contains ammonium acetate in the following ratio, wt.%:

SURFACTANT - 12 - 24

Acetic acid ammonium 10 -52

VGS(C6-C12) - 1,5-3,0

Water - the Rest

All tests foam was carried out in accordance with GOST R 50588-93 /Foaming agents the performance of foam produced with the use of plates of steel-3 at room temperature and pressure.

To obtain samples according to the invention were used the following materials and reagents:

The foaming agent-6K on THE 38.607-22-31-91.

Acetic acid ammonium according to GOST 3117-78.

Higher fatty alcohols, C6-C12THE 38.30278-79.

Examples of specific obtaining compositions.

Example 1.

To 52 g of solid ammonium acetate was added 45 g of the foaming agent IS 6K and after complete dissolution at room temperature under stirring was added 3 g of higher fatty alcohols fraction C6-C12. The tea-colored foam has a pH /pH/, equal to 8.6.

The freezing temperature of the foaming agent minus 60oC.

Corrosivity foaming agents, tested on plates steel-3 during the year, equal to zero.

The composition of the foaming agent, wt.%:

SURFACTANT - 12

Acetic acid ammonium 52

VGS (C6-C12) - 3

Water - the Rest

Comparative data of the foaming agent according to the invention with foam analogue and prototype are presented in tab. 4.

Example 2. Different from example 1 only by the fact that 52 g of ammonium acetate was added 45 g of the foaming agent KJV>6-C12< / BR>
The foaming agent is a dark tea color with a pH of 8.6.

The freezing temperature of the foaming agent minus 55oC.

Corrosivity if the test does not show.

In the fire extinguishing effectiveness of the composition can be used in working solution in 3% volume concentration.

Example 3. Differ only in the ratio used, wt. %:

The freezing point of the composition minus 15oC.

the pH of the foaming agent 7,6.

Corrosivity is 0,084 kg/m2C10-9.

Basic properties of this composition are shown in summary table 3.

Other specific examples of obtaining compositions differed only by the ratio of components used and the foam produced by the industry, and their concentration.

Table 1 shows the properties of concentrated foam with 45% wt. acetic acid ammonium.

The data table. 1 shows ctoi "Forecol". Other foaming agents or coagulated, or have a high freezing point.

As follows from table 2, for working solutions of these foaming agents are characterized by a similar pattern.

In table. 3 illustrates the properties of the foaming agent IS 6K with a concentration of ammonium acetate from 10 to 50% wt.

The data table. 3 show that the freezing temperature of the composition does not depend on the surfactant concentration in solution, and depends only on the concentration of ammonium acetate.

The minimum concentration of ammonium acetate was adopted value of 10% wt. at which corrosion activity of the composition is close to zero /0,0084 kg/m2with 10-9/ and pour point corresponds to minus 15oC.

The maximum concentration of ammonium acetate in the composition was adopted value of 52% wt., freezing point which is minus 60oC. the Upper limit on the concentration of ammonium acetate in working solution /60% vol. ON-6K/ 20% wt. At high concentrations of ammonium acetate decreases the stability of the foam and of extinguishing efficiency.

Higher fatty alcohols fraction C6-C12vkluchennosti within a concentration of 1.5 to 3.0 wt.%. alcohols are not affected.

The upper limit on the concentration VIS - 3% due to the ability of the concentrated foaming agent does not decompose during storage.

The lower limit VGS to 1.5% due to its positive influence on the fire extinguishing capability of working solutions.

In table. 4 shows comparative data of known foaming agents and composition according to the invention.

The data table. 4 show that the foaming agent according to the invention, the freezing temperature which is not higher than minus 50oC, is not corrosive and can be stored indefinitely in containers made of steel-3.

Operating properties and fire extinguishing efficiency it surpasses the best foam General purpose, commercially available, with the contents of half the surfactant.

SUBSTANCE: fire-extinguishing composition comprises magnesium chloride hydrate taken as aqueous solution and water-based film-forming foam. Above components are taken in the following amounts (% by composition volume): magnesium chloride hydrate solution - 85-88%, water-based film-forming foam - remainder. Magnesium chloride content in the composition is 15-25% by composition weight.

EFFECT: increased efficiency fire extinguishment with low-expansion foam and reduced time of suppression of fires seated on horizontal and vertical planes, possibility of composition storage under low temperatures.
