The known method antifungal and antibacterial treatment of the skin [3], according to which the tanned skins impregnated with a salt of lanthanum or cerium vinylcarbazole acid in the presence of free vinylcarbazole acid.

The disadvantage of this method is the small term protection of the skin from mildew. According to the conducted experiments on the 27th day after contamination of the sample with a suspension of the corresponding microbial mold see defeat 15% of the surface of the sample. Prototype method has a number of disadvantages. The process for this method is time-consuming and technically difficult, because it is a separate, not combined with other technological operations; reagent benzoquinonediimine resin has a very high price. It also requires additional processing stage - fixing resin in the structure of the dermis.

The problem is solved in that way anti musty skin treatment by impregnation with a water-soluble antiseptic as an antiseptic use an aqueous solution of a copolymer of N,N-dimethyl, N,N-diallylammonium chloride with sulfur dioxide in an amount of 0.1 - 1% by weight of the raw material. Copolymer of N, N-dimethyl, N, N-diallylammonium chloride (DMDAAC) with sulfur dioxide was prepared as follows.

42% aqueous solution DMDAAC bubbled SO2at room temperature until the absorption of an equivalent amount of SO2then add the potassium persulfate in the amount of 0.3 wt.% under stirring (bubbling) until complete dissolution. Next, the temperature of the reaction mass was raised to 50oC and incubated for 40-60 minutes at this temperature. The result is a 50% solution of the polymer with a yield of 95 to 98%, which, after dilution to the desired concentration used for a purpose.

The use of a copolymer DMDAAC as a means to suppress microorganisms in oil-field environment is known. However, the conditions for the use of this copolymer in delky skin is exposed to large quantities of chemical reagents, the combination with the inventive copolymer has not been studied.

Conducted a series of experiments to investigate the possibility of using bactericidal and fungicidal properties of the copolymer DMDAAC with sulfur dioxide for currying leather, as well as the development of economically and technologically optimal regulation of its use.

An example of the method. At the stage finish-tanning while rotating the drum in the tub was added to the copolymer DMDAAC with CO2in an amount of 0.1% by weight of the raw material. The temperature of the solution in the bath was 25 - 26oC. the Addition was carried out for 10 minutes before the end of the process finish-tanning. After the process is completed and all necessary actions in accordance with standard methods samples of treated skin was subjected to exposure at high humidity at different temperatures. The results are given in table.1.

Because at elevated temperature storage and/or transportation of the anti musty treatment was insufficient, was conducted a number of experiments with gradually increasing concentration DMDAAC with sulfur dioxide. The samples were also subjected to prolonged exposure at high humidity and temperature. the ptx2">

Thus it is seen that for the preservation of leather in the process of transportation in the winter, just add in a solution of 0.1% of a copolymer DMDAAC with sulfur dioxide, and for the dressing in summer - 1% by weight of the raw material. Skin samples treated in accordance with the inventive method, were subjected to the tests according to the physical-mechanical characteristics. Similar tests were subjected to samples not treated with copolymer DMDAAC with CO2. The data are given in table.3.

Tests have shown that besides giving tanned skin anti musty properties, the copolymer DMDAAC with CO2used in accordance with the inventive method, shows the properties of the filler, improving physical and mechanical properties of the obtained skin.

Thus, without appreciable complexity of the technological process, managed to achieve not only anti musty processing, but also improve the quality produced by the skin. No less important positive aspect of the proposed method is that, getting into the waste water, the copolymer DMDAAC with CO2left to themselves salts of heavy metals and falls in the form of sediment, it can be used to neutralize the wastewater, thus simplifying the process and increasing its APN.B.S.R.L.
