The method can be used in veterinary medicine. The method consists in the following: after 6 to 8 h after intramuscular injection of the serum of convalescents additionally intramuscularly injected with 0.3% solution Solana at a dose of 1.2 to 1.4 ml of 1 - 2 times a day for 4 to 6 days. The method provides a more effective prevention to 100.0%. 3 table.

The invention relates to veterinary medicine, in particular to methods for prevention of acute respiratory disease of calves, and can be used for prevention of the respiratory system, mainly acute respiratory infections of bacterial etiology.

Considering the causes of acute respiratory disease of calves, methods of prevention of these diseases shall be based on the use of funds, increasing the resistance of the body (1), and antimicrobial agents detrimental effect on the microflora that play a critical role in the development of the disease (2). Of the tools most widely used in veterinary practice to increase the resistance of the organism can be called vitamins, for example from group B (3), as well as a means of stimulating the reticuloendothelial system, in particular calcium CLASS="ptx2">

The most effective is considered to be the drugs, specifically acting on the pathogen and increase the overall resistance of the body, such as blood serum of convalescents (6). However, the set of antibodies does not always correspond to the full set of the antigenic structure of local microflora, which reduces its effectiveness.

As the most preferred analogue of the invention is a method for the prevention of acute respiratory disease in calves using serum of convalescents in combination with antimicrobial agents.

The purpose of the invention is the increased efficiency.

This goal is achieved by applying the serum of convalescents in complex with the drug soalan.

Soalan - composition of the four endogenous peptides produced by the human body, including one of the brake amino acids - glycine (glutamine), the so-called Delta-sleep inducing peptide, histidine containing dipeptide carnosine and product fragmentation of endogenous peptides C16. Soalan stabilizes neurohumoral and immune system, the mechanism of action of the drug is neuro - and stress-protective effects.

The feasibility and effectiveness of preventive methods with simultaneous application of the serum of convalescents and Solana was determined in the farms of the Nizhny Novgorod region, which is prone to acute respiratory disease in calves caused by effects on the body of pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microflora.
