The problem is solved by the described method of producing a sorbent for purification of gases from sulfur compounds, including the interaction of zinc oxide in two stages with an ammonium carbonate solution (AKP), heat treatment, grinding zinc oxide, its mixed with magnesium oxide and a plasticizer, forming granules, drying and sieving.
