The invention relates to tanning and fishing industry, and in particular to methods of processing raw material containing collagen skins of fish.

A method of processing collagen containing raw material by grinding it, degreasing with alkali, followed by neutralization with mineral acid and homogenizing the obtained collagen solution /1/.

There is also known a method procedurethe 5-12% KOH solution and saturated K2SO4, washing, neutralization with a solution of KHSO4or boric acid, repeated flushing and homogenization of collagen obtained solution /2/.

The disadvantages of the known methods are: high consumption of reagents, long duration of treatment, the formation of significant volumes of contaminated water and the inability to obtain sufficient quality collagen solution because of the specific properties of this raw material.

The closest in technical essence and the achieved result is a method of processing raw material containing collagen, lies in its freezing, grinding, degreasing 5% NaOH solution, the processing in alkaline-saline bath (11-13% NaOH, saturated with sodium sulfate, W.to.= 12), rinsing with a solution of Na2SO4, W.to. = 8-10, neutralization of acid salts in three stages with decreasing acid concentration from 15% to 0.25%, the grinding of the obtained collagen, dissolving it in the organic acid and homogenization /3/.

The disadvantages of this method are considerable consumption of reagents, complexity and duration of the processes of degreasing of raw materials and neutralizing solutions, the need to maintain the Amiternum power consumption; the formation of significant amounts of contaminated wastewater (W.to. = 8-12).

The purpose of the invention is the simplification of processes degreasing of raw materials and neutralization, reduced consumption of reagents, electricity, duration of technological cycles, volume and contamination of sewage.

This goal is achieved by the fact that the materials are wastes of skin fish leather and the fishing industry, which is processed in the described method, which consists in freezing the raw materials, grinding, degreasing by treating the alkali-salt solution, followed by neutralization, dissolution in organic acid and homogenization.

Distinctive features of the process are used as raw hides and skins of fish, a significant reduction in the duration of the alkaline-saline treatment, the reduction in concentration of chemicals, lack of washing with a solution of sodium sulfate, the implementation of neutralization at one time, the implementation of all technological cycles at room temperature (18-20oC).

The essential feature of this invention is that as the collagen containing raw material use waste the skins of fish, degreasing which>C, washed collagen water for 30 min, neutralized with ammonium sulfate in an amount of 5% by weight of raw materials for 90-120 min at 18-20oC. The proposed method eliminates the cycle degreasing with alkali, with more than 2-fold reduced concentration of alkali, sodium sulfate and W.to. when the alkali-salt processing of raw materials is replaced with the rinsing of collagen sodium sulfate is washed with water, reducing the neutralization process of collagen with a three-stage one stage and its duration from 20 hours up to 1.5-2 hours, re-grinding of collar>oC), and in the prototype - at 10-16oC, which is associated with additional consumption of electricity at low temperature and maintain it for a long time (70-80 hrs).

Example 2. Same as in example 1, wherein the alkali-salt treatment of the raw materials are carried out in 6% NaOH and 7% Na2SO4when W.to.= 3. The obtained collagen was neutralized with ammonium sulfate in the amount of 5.5% by weight of raw materials for 120 minutes

This method provides 100% dissolution of collagen.

Example 3. Same as in example 1, wherein the alkali-salt treatment of the raw materials is conducted by 4% NaOH and 6% Na2SO4. The obtained collagen neutralize sulfate ammonitina concentration of alkali and sodium sulfate in alkaline-saline processing of raw materials is undesirable because of the necessity of increasing concentrations of neutralizing a solution of ammonium sulfate and increasing the duration of the processes of washing and neutralizing collagen. Lowering the concentration of a solution of alkali-salt treatment reduced the output of collagen.

The optimal concentration of the solution of alkali-salt raw material processing 4-5% NaOH and 6-7% Na2SO4, W.to. = 3, and a neutralizing solution containing ammonium sulfate in the amount of 4.5-5% by weight of the feedstock.

Thus, the use of the invention enables to simplify the process, reduce the consumption of reagents, electricity, duration of technological cycles, the volume and pollution of waste water.
