(57) Abstract:

The proposed complex solvent can be used for finishing leather. The complex composition of the solvent include butyl acetate, ethyl acetate, butyl alcohol and toluene in the following ratio, wt. %: butyl acetate 28-32; ethyl acetate 32-26; butyl alcohol 19-21; toluene 21-19. The use of the proposed structure allows to obtain coverage on the skin with high qualities. table 1.

The proposed composition refers to the leather industry and can be used for finishing leather.

Currently known composition of complex solvents for finishing, but they do not provide a coating on the skin with good quality.

Well-known part of the complex solvent comprising acetone, butyl acetate, isobutyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol, toluene in the following ratio, wt.%:

Acetone - 7

Butyl acetate - 12

Isobutyl alcohol - 15

Ethanol - 16

Toluene - 50

Coating on the skin, obtained with the use of this solvent, have a tendency to appearance of Bellecote. Furthermore, this solvent is complex in composition and volatile [GOST 18188-72. RAS is a, and you also know the use in the compositions of the solvents toluene, a good solvent for many resins and plasticizers.

Closest to the proposed composition of the essential features is part of the complex solvent for finishing, which the authors selected as a prototype.

Known composition contains butyl acetate, ethyl acetate and ethyl alcohol, in the following ratio, wt.%:

Ethyl alcohol and 33.4

Coating on the skin, obtained with the use of this solvent, have insufficient high resistance to repeated bending and wet friction, and elastic, and there is a tendency to the appearance of Bellecote (Data for these indicators are shown in the table) [THE OP 13-0279886-06-92. The objective of the proposed structure is to improve the quality of the coatings on the skin when using it.

The problem is solved by a known complex ( contains toluene, and as a monohydroxy alcohol it contains butyl alcohol in the following ratio, wt.%:

Butyl acetate - 28-32

The ethyl acetate - 28-32

Butyl alcohol - 19-21

Toluene - 19-21

Analysis of scientific-technical and patent information showed that this compound is novel and meets the criterion of "inventive step" because the claimed ratio of components in the proposed solvent is not known from the prior art.

Distinctive features is that the composition additionally contains toluene, and as a monohydroxy alcohol is butyl alcohol in the following ratio, wt.%:

Butyl acetate - 28-32

The ethyl acetate - 28-32

Butyl alcohol - 19-21

Toluene - 19-21

It is the introduction of the addition of toluene in the amount 19-21 wt.%, and butyl alcohol in the amount 19-21 wt.% leads to an improvement in the formation of a film that allows you to get coverage on the skin with high resistance to repeated bending, wet abrasion and high elasticity at low propensity for the emergence of Bellecote.

The introduction of the toluene less than 19 wt.% leads to deterioration of the coating quality, and more than 21% to longer drying plait the military increases the stickiness of the coating, and more than 21 wt.% leads to long-term formation of the film.

The proposed composition was prepared as follows: the reactor is injected ingredients: butyl acetate, ethyl acetate, butyl alcohol and toluene in the corresponding wt. % and stirred for 60 min at room temperature. After which the solvent is poured into a container.

Proposed structure of complex solvent is a colorless or slightly yellowish homogeneous transparent liquid, density of 0.85-0.88 g/cm3with a distillation temperature at a pressure of 101325 PA 65-120oC.

Examples of specific applications of the proposed structure.

used to get securing coverage on the basis of nitrocellulose lacquer, the coating unit dyeing.

As can be seen from the obtained results, the use of integrated solvent to obtain a coating on the skin allows you to get these coatings with high resistance to repeated bending and wet friction in the absence of the tendency of the coatings to the whitening and having elasticity, which is very important in the operation of leather goods.
