Treatment of synovial cysts

(57) Abstract:

Usage: in medicine, in particular in traumatology. The essence of the invention: in the cyst cavity at different levels spend two needles of different diameter and smaller diameter needle is injected under a pressure of 0.25% solution of novocaine, which creates a piston effect in the cavity of the cyst and facilitates the complete removal of its contents through the needle of large diameter.

The invention relates to medicine, namely to orthopedics and traumatology.

There are various ways to treat synovial cysts, ranging from radical excision to remove their content (non-indigenous I. I., Babich, I. Treatment of Wagram in children. - Journal "Surgery", 1989, N 11).

There is a method of treatment of synovial cysts by removing its contents by suction needle and the introduction into the cavity of cyclophosphamide (also S. 79 - 82), taken as a prototype.

The disadvantage of these methods, including the prototype is either excessive trauma or difficulties while deleting content, especially with small cysts in the brush and luchezapyastnogo joint, frequent relapses.

The objective of the invention is improving the efficiency of treatment by S="ptx2">

therapeutic result of the task is achieved by removing the contents of the cyst and its lavage, followed by the introduction into the cavity of cyclophosphamide. The difference of the proposed method lies in the fact that the cyst hold two needles of different diameter and smaller diameter needle is injected under a pressure of 0.25% solution of novocaine.

The method is as follows.

Cyst punctures two needle - thick (according to the size of the cyst pierced external (subcutaneous) wall; a thin needle is inserted to the bottom of the cyst. Introduction through a thin needle of 0.25% solution of novocaine creates a piston effect, which pushes the contents of the cyst through the thick needle.

After removing the contents of the cyst cavity it is washed with a solution of 100 mg of cyclophosphamide in 10 ml of 0.25% solution of novocaine and remove fine needle. The remains of the leaching solution is removed by suction through a thick needle. Then in the cyst administered 100 - 200 mg of platinum per 1 ml of 0.25% solution of novocaine. The second needle is removed. With a light pressure on the cyst produce 2 to 3 of flexion and extension in the joint. Then overlap the compression bandage and plaster bandage. The immobilization of the limb is cancelled for 3 to 6 days, and gradually tucandeo treatment of 15 children with synovial cysts of the brush, luchezapyastnogo, elbow and knee. All children discharged in the absence of local inflammation and relapse, with full function joint. After discharge, all the children were released a month from physical education and labor. Long-term outcomes are traced up to 3 months. Relapse is not checked, the pain syndrome was not the function of the joints was full.

Treatment of synovial cysts by aspiration, the evacuation and introduction into the cavity of the cyst cyclophosphamide, characterized in that the cavity of the cyst at different levels spend two needles of different diameter and a needle of small diameter is injected under a pressure of 0.25% solution of novocaine to delete the contents of the cyst.
