Titanium tanning agent for leather-based titanyl sulphate and ammonium contains iron oxide is not more than 0.05 wt.%, calcium oxide is not more than 0.1 wt.% and additionally contains chlorine ion in the following ratio, wt.%: chlorine ion is 0.05 to 8.0, the titanyl sulphate and ammonium else. Known titanium tanning agent for leather-based titanyl sulphate and ammonium containing iron oxide is not more than 0.05 and calcium oxide is not more than 0.1 wt. % (Metelkin, A. Rusakova, I. and N. T. Titanium tanning. - M: Light industry, 1980, S. 74).

The disadvantages of tanning agent are the availability of high radioactivity, and the need for additional processing tanning agent such as sulfuric acid and ammonium sulfate to stabilize it in a sustainable monohydrate form.

The present invention is the improvement of consumer properties of ti is based form without additional processing. This problem is solved as follows.

In contrast to the known titanium tanning agent as leather-based titanyl sulphate and ammonium containing iron oxide is not more than 0.05 and calcium oxide is not more than 0.1 wt.% - according to the claimed technical solution it contains chlorine ion in the following ratio, wt.%:

The presence of chlorine ion in titanium tanning agent allows you to get the tanning agent, stable in sustainable monohydrate form, therefore, does not require additional processing it with sulfuric acid and ammonium sulfate and eliminates associated with the processing costs. As a result of this reduced manufacturing cost and improved consumer properties of titanium tanning agent, because it becomes less susceptible to the aging process.

The chlorine-ion content in the tanning agent regulated by providing specific content of chlorine ion in the original solution of titanyl sulphate, which is used to obtain tanning agent, using additives hydrochloric acid.

The titanium tanning agent prototype and according to the claimed technical solution was determined by radioactivity (alpha-radiation) with the help of the device SPACH and a hydrated form by well-known methods. A pilot batch of the inventive titanium debit is, the chlorine-ion content in the tanning agent in the claimed limits does not affect the quality of the leather tanning.

In the presented test results it follows that the claimed titanium tanning agent differs from the prototype more high consumer properties, resulting from a significant reduction (9,75 is 19.5 times the radioactivity of the finished product and the availability of sustainable monohydrate forms of tanning agent without additional processing. As a result, it became less susceptible to the aging process. In terms of production of JSC "CHMP" manufactured batch of titanium tanning agent according to the claimed technical solution with a positive result and sent to the consumers.

FIELD: coal-chemical products.

SUBSTANCE: weathered vitrinite brown coals from Baga-Nursk coal field having ash level 36-48% and moisture 20% are ground to granule size 0.5-0.9 mm. Resulting powder us sulfurized for 6-8 h with 98% sulfuric acid at 60-80°С and coal-to-acid weight ratio from 1:3 to 2:3. Sulfurized coal is neutralized and treated with 10-15% sodium hydroxide aqueous solution at weight ratio of alkali solution to initial coal (10-15):1 to form water-soluble sodium sulfohumate, after which water-soluble residual coal is separated by centrifugation. Centrifugate is mixed with 10-15% aqueous hydrochloric acid at volume ratio (10-15):6 to form precipitate, which is allowed to settle into compact form during 40-60 min. After decantation of liquid phase, solid residue is partially dried at 40-60°С until pasty mass is obtained.

EFFECT: increased content of tanning substances in humate-containing compounds and enabled utilization of oxidized brown coal in open-cut production of brown coals.
