SUBSTANCE: proposed method of retrieving vehicle with the help of retriever comprises connecting first end of tow rope with retriever towing hook or the first end of second tow rope with retriever winch rope. Manipulator controlled from inside the retriever accommodates parts of tor ropes. Then retriever is moved towards vehicle to be retrieved, second end of the first or second tor rope is jointed to vehicle towing hook by manipulator lever.
