(57) Abstract:

Usage: in medicine, namely to vertebrology, and is intended for the surgical treatment of scoliosis. The invention is: to correct curvature of the spine along the length of the distortion by the unloading of the spine rods 1 and 2 of the corrector is equipped mobile hard place 10. Large axis cross-sections of the rods 1 and 2 lie in the frontal plane relative to the spinous processes, others in the sagittal plane. 3 Il.

The invention relates to medicine, namely to vertebrology, and can be used for rapid repair curvature of the spine with progressive scoliosis.

Known spine corrector designed for the surgical treatment of scoliosis, where the dual cores corrector is equipped mobile hard place.

The main disadvantage of the prototype are paired rods. Before the operation of paired rods on a special machine bent in the frontal and sagittal planes individually for each child, depending on the deformity of the spine.

This is a complex and painstaking work, so patstat the opening of the structure. To reduce the area of contact surfaces and reduce friction rods are made with longitudinal protrusions that technically difficult.

Long-term use of the offset of the spine showed that fixation wire for twisting the arms of the vertebrae is more than sufficient. This concealer is rigidly and securely attached to the back of the complex spinal column. Fixation of the transverse processes of the wire twisting complicates the technique of the operation and does not produce the desired effect of stabilizing the structure.

The aim of the invention is the correction of the curvature of the spine along the entire length by the unloading of the spine, improve and simplify the design of the corrector.

In Fig. 1 shows a spine corrector of Fig. 2 is a view As in Fig. 1; Fig. 3 section b-B in Fig. 1.

The spine corrector contains two rods 1 and 2, with the major axis of the cross-section of one of the rod lies in the frontal plane relative to the spinous processes, and the other in the sagittal plane.

The terminals 1 and 2 on the upper end of the offset is attached to the bracket 3 by means of screws 4. The lower ends of the rods 2 and 1 freely leave and is not deformed by the twisting of the wire retainers.

The number of secondary brackets 5 installed in the gaps between the end brackets 3, must be at least two to ensure the rectifying effect of the offset on the spine. Brackets 3 and 5 fixed arch of the vertebrae with wire clamps 8. The inner surface 9 of the brackets 5 and the lower bracket 3 hard grooves 7 are made, for example, convex, with a radius smaller than the radius of convexity correction of the spine. This eliminates the voltage between the edges of the brackets and rods, thereby preventing jamming of the rods in the slots.

On terminals 1 and 2 installed mobile hard place 10 to ensure the stability of the achieved correction and the effects of linear movement of the rods in compression corrector, thus leaving free linear travel tensile, hard retainer 10 is made in the form of a split strap anchored by means of screws 11. Support-mounting pad 12 of the brackets 3 and 5 should individually to fold over during the operation under the curvature of the arches and transverse processes to ensure that they were freely placed on the latter.

The spine corrector is used as follows.

Under General anesthesia the patient on W is s processes of two neutral vertebrae on the upper and lower ends of the arc of curvature, the pedicles and transverse processes of two vertebrae above and below the vertebra, forming the apex of the curvature. Under the selected shackle conducting wire clamps 8. Support - mounting pad 12 of the brackets 3 and 5 individually bends taking into account the curvature of the arches and transverse processes of the vertebrae.

The rods 1 and 2 curve in the frontal plane, depending on the size of the thoracic kyphosis and lumbar lordosis. The rods 1 and 2 is inserted into the hard grooves of the brackets 3 and 5, and the ends of the rods are securely fixed using 4 screws with locking washers.

Using the device for the temporary correction of the spine segments for the wire clamps 8 fix the main arc of curvature to the maximum possible correction. Stack assembled concealer in place. When the terminals 1 and 2 are placed on both sides of the spinous processes, and supporting and mounting pad 12 adjacent to the surfaces of the arms. The tabs 11 are installed on the rods 1 and 2 to the lower bracket 3 and tighten the screws 11 with locking washers. Twisted longitudinal tabs 8. The excess ends of the wire removed and the wound closed with stitches.

Installed in this manner corrector redistributes the vertical load on the body of the spine. In effect the TB plates 1 and 2 and the latch 10, on which rests the lower bracket 3. This eliminates the linear movement of the rods in compression offset, leaving a linear course of stretching. Apifera wedge-shaped deformation of the vertebral bodies at the former convex side receive the maximum vertical load that inhibits the physiological osteogenesis on this side of the vertebrae. Apifera former concave side of the tension of the ligaments of the spine and strain body mass gain additional potency growth.

Thus the offset changed.

If the work is known offset in the growth process of the child aimed at the spread of the plates 1 and 2 relative to each other, the work of the proposed construction is in pulling freely fixed hard rods in the slots up with the growth of the baby's spine.

The main load on the structure occurs when the body sagitally plane (forward, backward) and in the frontal plane (lateral movement), and in these planes corrector has a greater stiffness due to the proposed location of the rods. The location of the rods in the brackets in different planes relative to the spinous processes, with the th, allows you to reduce the cross-section of the rods and to provide sufficient rigidity. The intensity is reduced by eliminating one pair of rods. For the manufacture of offset used Vladimirova alloys.

The spine corrector, containing two rods mounted in the brackets, and wire clamps, characterized in that it introduced two rigid latch mounted on the free ends of rods, one rod is fixed in the brackets in the frontal plane in sagitally plane.
