Paper pulp for the manufacture of newsprint

(57) Abstract:

Use: for the production of newsprint. The inventive pulp prepared from (wt.%) 10 - 15 cellulose and 85 - 90 wood pulp. As a wood pulp, a mixture of pulp derived from wood chips treated with accelerated electrons at a dose of 0,3 - 0,7 Mrad, and the mass obtained from the raw chips, at a ratio respectively of from 1:1 to 9:1. As cellulose is used bleached coniferous sulphate or sulphite pulp unbleached coniferous. As the wood pulp can be used thermomechanical wood pulp or chemical-thermo-mechanical wood pulp. 2 C.p. f-crystals, 1 table.

The invention relates to the pulp and paper industry and can be used for the production of newsprint.

Known methods of manufacture of newsprint from paper pulp based on thermo-mechanical or chemi-thermomechanical pulp. Newsprint obtained from compositions based on TMP and CTMP, has high quality and high physical-mechanical properties with a minimum content of cellulose.

However, TMP and CTMP are energyintensive polyfabric is for the manufacture of newsprint, containing 60

90% TMP and 10 to 40% neutral sulfite hardwood semichemical pulp (ed. mon. USSR N 783389, Ál. D 21 H 3/00, 1980).

Quality newsprint, obtained by a known method, a sufficiently high when using hardwood.

The closest analogue of the invention is paper pulp for the manufacture of newsprint. Containing cellulose and wood pulp (Khomutynnik N. In. Especially the production of thin newsprint, collection of Pulp, paper and cardboard, No. 3, 1989, c. 4, 5).

In a famous paper pulp for the manufacture of newsprint as cellulose used coniferous sulphate pulp, and as wood pulp TMM, and the paper weight includes the semi-finished products in the following amounts, wt.

Pulp coniferous sulphate 15

TMM 85

Known paper has the following characteristics:

Mass m2, g 48,8

Breaking length, m 3500

The uniformity of the printing 0,037

High quality paper achieved with a significant reduction in the consumption of pulp from coniferous wood by use of the composition of TMM.

However, the TMP production and refining TMM are energiechimie provided to further improve the quality of the printing properties of paper, are relevant.

New technical result from use of the invention is to improve printing properties of newsprint at the expense of increasing the uniformity of print while significantly reducing energy consumption and preserving the physical and mechanical properties.

The technical result is achieved in that paper pulp for the manufacture of newsprint, containing cellulose and wood pulp, according to the invention, as wood pulp comprises a mixture of wood pulp derived from wood chips, processed by the accelerated electrons in their dose of 0.3 to 0.7 Mrad, and wood pulp obtained from raw chips, at a ratio of 1:1 to 9:1. Paper pulp contains these components in the following amounts, wt.

Cellulose 10 15

Wood pulp 85 90

In the proposed paper pulp used as wood pulp thermo-mechanical or chemi-thermomechanical wood pulp, and the pulp bleached coniferous sulphate or sulphite pulp unbleached coniferous.

TMM from spruce chips, processed by the accelerated electrons in the range of 0.3 to 0.7 Mrad for 0.1 to 1.0 sec was obtained as follows: radiation modified the round 110 115oC for 5 min and grind in a disk refiner.

CTMP from aspen chips treated by accelerated electrons in the range of 0.3 to 0.7 Mrad within 0.1 to 0.5 seconds, was obtained as follows: radiation modified wood chips treated with a solution containing sodium hydroxide with a concentration of 20 g/l and sodium sulfite with a concentration of 20 g/L. Consumption of each component amounted to 2% of abs. dry chips. Chemical treatment is carried out for 20 min at a temperature of 75 80oC. Chemically-reactive modified wood chips are steamed for 5 minutes and at a temperature of 110 115oC, and grind in a disk refiner.

It is established that to obtain newsprint high quality, both from the point of view of printing (operational), and from the point of view of physical (technological) properties, it is necessary to use the composition of the paper more durable TMP or CTMP required chips in combination with a wood mass, obtained from irradiated chips, which is characterized by lower strength due to changes in the fractional composition of the mass, increased content of fine fibers and reducing the amount of long fibers.

Use as wood pulp in hot chips, and wood pulp obtained thermo-mechanical or chemi-thermomechanical ways of untreated wood chips, at a ratio of 1: 1 to 9:1 allows you to vary the strength and printing properties of newsprint and to improve quality by improving the uniformity of printing while maintaining the physical and mechanical properties. While the cost of the target product is reduced through energy savings, as production is included in the composition of the semi-finished product, and grinding.
