SUBSTANCE: proposed method of retrieving vehicle with the help of retriever comprises connecting first end of tow rope with retriever towing hook or the first end of second tow rope with retriever winch rope. Manipulator controlled from inside the retriever accommodates parts of tor ropes. Then retriever is moved towards vehicle to be retrieved, second end of the first or second tor rope is jointed to vehicle towing hook by manipulator lever. Retriever tensions appropriate tow rope and the latter is uncoupled from manipulator and its lever. Now vehicle is towed or retrieved. Central part of every tow rope is arranged to allow adjustment of friction and elastic forces. Electrode is arranged in retriever body on the first tow rope or on winch rope and electrically connected with retriever inside frame. Emergent release from retrieved vehicle is made by cutting appropriate rope with the help of electrode. Proposed device comprises two tow ropes connected with retriever, one connected with towing winch, and manipulator with lever control from inside the vehicle. A part of every tow rope is secured in bracket by friction and elastic forces.

Drain line running from haulage drum drive hydromotor incorporates throttle, while return line of local hydraulic circuit communicates via drain branch with said hydraulic line upstream of said throttle.
