Composition for moistening cotton

(57) Abstract:

Usage: in technology, primary processing of raw cotton to ginning factories of the textile industry before generowanie. The inventive composition to hydrate raw cotton contains a surface-active agent based on a mixture of alkylarylsulfonates 0.25 to 1.00 wt.%, acetone 0.5 to 1.0 wt. % ; kerosene of 0.4 - 0.5 wt.% and the water. The composition is prepared by mixing in the reactor at 40 - 45C and stirring the water and surfactant, followed by the introduction of acetone and kerosene without heating. As the surfactant used drugs Volgoneft (OST 6-01-35-79) and sulfinol. Raw cotton moistened by spraying the composition of the air after cleaning clothes in the shop and before generowanie when the movement of raw cotton through the pipeline. The wettability of cotton composition in comparison with the prototype is enhanced by 5s from 44 to 349 - 398%. Humidity of raw cotton when wet is increased from 7.35 to 8.05%, and fiber from 5.25 to 5.95%. The sum of the defects of contamination is reduced from 3.5 to 3.0%, which corresponds according to GOST 3152-79 fiber premium grade. Tensile strength of the fiber is increased by 25% to 27%. By increasing the bulk density of the fiber after moistening the number of bales when packaging pressing 100 t Okavango fiber. 5 table.

The invention relates to technologies for primary processing of raw cotton in the textile industry.

To facilitate the pressing of cotton to ginning factories of the textile industry exercise hydration of raw cotton. This allows you to increase the volume density of the bales, and consequently, to increase the efficiency of the compaction process, and also because of the increasing elastic properties of wet fibers to improve the quality of raw cotton after mechanical processing, such as ginning.

Moisture of raw cotton before pressing currently operate air full of suspended particles in water [1].

However, suspended droplets of water are sorbed bad cotton fiber and cause corrosion of parts of the press. On the fiber at the edges of the bales formed yellow stripes and spots, which degrades the quality of the fiber, and textile processing leads to increased osteoclast.

In addition, it is known moisture of raw cotton water vapor with exposure to ultrasound [2].

However, eliminates these drawbacks.

The closest to the invention by the technical essence of the STN-active substance from a mixture of ethoxylated higher fatty acid fraction WITH10-C18with a degree of oksietilirovannye 8-10 (drug Sintana DC-10), lauric alcohol and water [3].

However, this composition is only slightly increases the moisture content of the fibers and improves its quality, so it is also poorly sorbed cotton-raw, containing on the surface of natural fats and wax.

The aim of the invention is to increase the efficiency of the baling of cotton and improving the quality of raw cotton after ginning.

This problem is solved by a composition for wetting of cotton, containing surfactant and water, and according to the invention the composition contains as a surfactant mixture of alkylarylsulfonates and optionally acetone and kerosene in the following ratio, wt.%:

The mixture alkylaryl - fonarow 0,25-1,00 Acetone 0.5-1.0 Kerosene 0,4-0,5 Water the Rest

The composition is prepared in a reactor equipped with a stirrer and a jacket for heating. In the reactor sequentially add softened tap water and surfactant based on a mixture of alkylarylsulfonates. The mixture is heated under stirring up to 40-45oC until complete dissolution. Then heating the mixture in the reactor to stop and re the rod 7 days.

The invention is illustrated by the following examples and table. 1-4, which shows the performance properties of the composition according to the invention, namely the wetting ability and surface tension depending on the concentration of its components (table.1), as well as the characteristics of raw cotton and fiber of him after moistening composition according to the invention in comparison with the prototype (table.2, 3, 5). In table. 4, 5 shows the effect of individual components of the composition according to the invention and their combinations with each other on the properties of raw cotton and cotton fiber after moistening to illustrate the suddenness of the achieved result (compare. examples 16-19 and 7.9). As the surfactant composition contains known drugs Volgoneft and Sulfinol.

P R I m e R 1. Prepare, for example, as described above, the composition containing (wt.%):

Drug Volgoneft on the basis of a mixture materialkreislauf formula: (CnH2n+1CnH2m+1)CHSO3PA, where n+m = 11 - 17 (OST 6-01-35-79) 0.25 Acetone 1.00 Kerosene 0,4 Softened water To 100

Moisture of raw cotton of the I-th grade (machine Assembly), this composition is carried out after cleaning it in a clothes shop before entering the fiber gene-apparatus for installing, operating in semi-automatic re the d 10-15 m/s and the spraying of the composition of air under a pressure of 1 ATM.

The properties of the hydrated fibers are given in table. 1-2.

Similarly carry out the hydration of the same cotton compositions according to the invention with different content components (see tab.1) and the composition of the prototype. In example 9 the composition contains drug sulfonic acid-based mixture of alkylbenzenesulfonates containing alkyl 12-18 C.

In table. 2-5 presents the indicators of the quality of raw cotton before and after hydration and fiber from it.

Humidity of raw cotton is determined by thermogravimetry PTS or in a drying Cabinet U3-7M.

The vices of contamination of cotton fiber (see tab.5) are distributed on fractions as follows:

1 - small and large litter;

2 - combined flagella;

3 is a brilliant plastic immature fibers in the form of dead fibers, reducing the strength of the yarn and the quality of dyeing;

4 is immature and broken seeds (uluc);

5 - peel with fiber and fluff, i.e. particles of seeds with different fiber length and down;

6 - knots of tangled, difficult shared fibers.

The most harmful are the vices of fractions 1 and 5 due to their small size and the difficulty of separation.

As follows from the data table.5, the moisture of raw cotton with whom.

As follows from the analysis of the data table. 1-3 when using the composition according to the invention with the prototype humidity of raw cotton and fiber from it is increased by 26-27%, and reaches the required value according to GOST 3152-79. The sum of the defects of contamination - 18-20%, and creates the possibility of production of raw cotton of the I-th grade fiber premium grade with the sum of the defects of contamination are not more than 3%. While the breaking strength of the fiber is increased by 25-27%.

This is achieved by combining in the composition according to the invention certain solvents - acetone and kerosene, facilitating removal from the surface of the fiber jirouskova contamination and thus improve the wetting ability of the fiber, anion active surface active substance on the basis of a mixture of alkylarylsulfonates. It is this combination of components in a specific ratio, as follows from the data table.4, can increase the sorption capacity of raw cotton in the process of its moisture before generowanie. Kerosene is also used as in the composition according to the invention the function of the antifoam. High wetting and sorption ability of the composition are particularly important, because the wetting time of the fiber while moving with great speed on pneumat yet to reduce the number of defects of contamination, and the most harmful of them. Dry hard fiber and fluff when cutting with the saw in the process of ginning pulled from the skin. After moistening the fiber and fluff are soft, supple and evenly cut by the saw. Tensile strength of the fiber is increased by 25-27%. Due to the moist cotton fiber bale weight in the process of pressing is increased by 10-12 kg, the number of bales when packaging 100 tons of fiber increased by 34 bales, and therefore reduced the cost of packaging materials and transportation of Packed fibers.

COMPOSITION FOR WETTING of COTTON, containing surfactant and water, characterized in that it contains as a surfactant mixture of alkylarylsulfonates and optionally acetone and kerosene in the following ratio of components, wt.%:

A mixture of alkylarylsulfonates 0,25 - 1,00

Acetone 0,5 - 1,0

Kerosene 0,4 - 0,5
