The invention relates to a press-forging equipment, namely, to designs of radial crimp machines.

Known radial crimping machine, containing placed in the frame work cylinders with installed plungers, which are jaunty, mekhanogidravlicheskijj drive battery and triggers movement of the plungers and the cylinders reverse and mechanisms of regulation of the size of the workspace.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of forging heated blank in one set of strikers mounted in simultaneously moving holders at deformation degree 30 - 90%. Forging process includes individual procedures of squeezing blank, feeding and tilting it. Individual squeezing procedures are realized by depth whose value is determined according to given relation. Method is performed in apparatus having strikers with working surface formed by several planes; holders of upper and lower strikers with inclined sliding faces relative to which inclined sliding faces of holders of lateral strikers are moved. Lateral strikers are coupled with holders of upper and lower strikers through eight guides with П-shaped cross section. Strikers have cross sections with working portions in the form of isosceles trapezium. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used in production of downhole rod pump cylinders. Pipe semis are produced by hot forging at fixed forging mandrel with conical working surface. Locating shank is used for fixing forging mandrel in channel of as-forged part. After channel boring cold radial forging with channel surface broaching is carried out with the help of extra mandrel. Hot and cold forging are performed by hammers at radial forging machine. After every reduction in said hot and cold processes hollow billet and half-blank are fed and edged. Liquid process lubricant is fed in billet deformation area, forged part centering area and broaching area. Feed is performed via radial channels in forging mandrel and centering shank. Start of edging is set to hollow billet and pipe half-blank angle not earlier that the feed start.

EFFECT: accurate sizes, higher surface quality, reliable operation of the machine.

An additional roller has the ability to connect the live rollers to ensure the movement of workpieces from one roller to another and disconnection. Thrusts are provided which can be mounted on the live rollers line in a position which stops the workpiece in front of the forging unit and in a position which transmits the workpiece from one live roller to another via an additional roller.

EFFECT: expansion of technological possibilities and increase of productivity of a technological line of radial forging.
