Method to break ice cover and semi-submersible icebreaker ship Method is proposed to break ice cover, in which a pushing buoyant force is developed during motion of a semi-submersible ship, which presses at the lower surface of ice in vertical direction, and ice is broken with a ram brought under it with an ice-breaking rib connected to the ship body. The vertical pushing force is developed by all positive buoyancy of the semi-submersible ship and lifting force of its horizontal hydrodynamic rudders, at the same time the ram acts at ice in horizontal direction both by its inclined breaking rib and its entire surface. Also a semi-submersible icebreaking ship is proposed. |

Passenger car passive protection system Invention relates to automotive industry, particularly, to system of passive safety of pedestrians, animals and drivers in collision with car front. Proposed system comprises set of overload transducers and control unit electrically connected with gas generator actuators and external air cushion with lattice-shape cutouts to be inflated from under the hood to cover car windshield with front struts and roof front edge. Gas-filled external air cushion at left edge from the side of external shock-absorbing surface has board, side right surfaces of which are parallel to vehicle longitudinal axis and perpendicular to road plane. |

Two-cascade ballistic installation Invention relates to the field of testing equipment and is designed to increase initial speeds of missile flight in process of experimental trial of new equipment with usage of tube powder ballistic installations. A two-cascade ballistic installation comprises a tube with a charging chamber, the main charge installed in it with an initiation device, a piston, an additional charge with an ignition device. The piston is placed at the outlet from the charging chamber with the possibility of movement only in direction towards the missile. The additional charge is installed in the tube between the piston and the missile. The main and additional charges are made of powder, and the main charge initiation facility - in the form of an extended explosive charge placed coaxially inside the main charge, made as capable of initiation with the specified delay relative to the moment of ignition of the additional charge ignited in the fixed condition. |
