Proposed device can be used in all types of ice generators used in food industry, pharmacology, agriculture, medicine, etc, wherein ice is chipped off from smooth cylindrical, flat of pother ice forming surfaces. This device comprises even number of spiral edges composed by different-shape knives arranged discretely there along. Sized of knife bases, the distance between them and cutting edges are equal. Said knives are arranged on spirals so that every knife of cutting edge is located opposite the spacing between knives of the next and previous cutting edges.

Cooling agent pressure is set below water pressure in elastic element. When expansion tank is filled, valve is opened and pressure in elastic element is reduced. Ice crystals separated during deformation of elastic element from its inner surface are supplied together with water flow via drain pipe to the tank.

At least one pair of the upper guides is installed on the support. There is a sliding and dismountable tank being mounted on the upper guides. The tank dimensions are calculated to store water volume at final filling, which is equal to the volume required for proper filling of ice-tray being underneath. In addition the above tank is provided with discharge nozzle in the bottom part, which is situated directly above the ice tray. Besides there is an outlet valve, which is continuously and elastically closed in forced manner and opens automatically when the tank is on the support.
