The amount of fluorine-containing polymer, cube ice and colourless pore liquid is calculated according to the test conditions and sample sizes. The fluorine-containing polymer, represented by particles of irregular shape with a diameter of 0.25-2.0 mm of AF 1600 teflon with a refractive index of 1.31 and a density of 2.1-2.3 g/cm3, is cleaned of impurities and dried in an oven. Cube ice is produced by crushing a whole block of ice with a particle diameter of 0.1-0.5 mm. Colourless pore liquid is represented by water. First, the fluorine-containing polymer and cubic ice are uniformly mixed in a cryogenic laboratory at a temperature from -6.0 to -8.0°C, loaded in the form for 2-3 batches to prepare the sample and rammed layer by layer. Water is then added to the mould, and it fills the gaps between the fluorine-containing polymer particles and the cube ice. The vacuum device is used to remove residual bubbles in the sample so that it reaches a fully saturated state. The sample is loaded into a cryogenic box at a temperature of -20°C and frozen for 48 hours to obtain a transparent frozen soil, imitating a saturated frozen sandy soil, the physical properties of which are as follows: density - 1.53-2.0 g/cm3, the specific gravity is 15-20 kN/m3 and the relative density is 20-80%; and the mechanical properties are as follows: angle of internal friction is 30-31°, elastic modulus is 8-61 MPa and the Poisson's ratio is 0.2-0.4. Transparent frozen soil is used in the model test of directed blasting of frozen ground, in the slump test of the frozen soil model of the road mound due to thawing.
