SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a pneumatic tire having a radial structure. Tire comprises belt assembly (3) consisting of at least three layers (8, 9, 10), in particular two working layers (8, 9) and protective layer (10) located radially outwardly from working layers (8, 9). Each belt layer (8, 9, 10) comprises stiffeners (11) consisting of one or more steel threads (12). Stiffeners (11) in each layer (8, 9, 10) of the belt are respectively arranged parallel to each other and are spaced apart from each other. Steel yarns (12) of stiffening elements (11) of protective layer (10) have a thread diameter from 0.10 mm to 0.35 mm. Diameter (14) of the stiffener is from 0.20 mm to 0.85 mm. Each stiffening element (11) of protective layer (10) has a tensile strength of 15 kN/dm to 95 kN/dm. Stiffeners (11) are located in protective layer (10) with a density of 50 to 120 threads per decimeter (yarn/dm).

EFFECT: technical result is an increase in the strength of the tire with a reduction in weight.
