SUBSTANCE: downhole tool for attenuating torsional vibrations comprises a free-wheeling coupling assembly adapted to connect the drill string to a drill bit and engage for transmitting torque from said drill string to said drill bit in a first rotation direction of the drill string and disconnecting to prevent torque transmission from said drill string to said drill bit in a second rotation direction of the drill string opposite to said first direction. Said free-wheeling coupling assembly comprises a coupling housing having a generally tubular shape and defining an inner wall with a groove of a tapered shape therein, a coupling mandrel, on one axle located inside said coupling housing and defining the outer wall with a recess made therein, a wedge-shaped element inserted into said recess and forced radially outward up to contact with said inner wall of said coupling housing. Said wedge-shaped element is being adapted to come into contact with said recess to prevent unrestricted rotation of said coupling body relative to said coupling mandrel in the first direction and disconnecting from said groove for providing unrestricted rotation of said coupling housing with respect to said coupling mandrel in the second direction opposite to the first direction.

EFFECT: providing torsional vibrations without the need to increase the bit rate or decrease the weight on the bit.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to dynamic dampers of torsional vibrations and can be used at drilling of oil and gas wells. A dynamic damper of torsional vibrations comprises a case with a flywheel installed inside, the weights are fixed in the flywheel body and the flywheel is made as a torque link system. According to the first invention version, the shock absorbers enter the mass-joint on one end, and the weights made as cylindrical segment-plates by means of a welded bracket and lugs on the other end. According to the second version, a rod with hold-down screws and a lock ring is installed inside the case on one side, and a rod and a spring for its backup are installed on the other side. The shock absorbers enter the mass-joint on one end, and the weights by means of a crosspiece on the other end, the weights are made as cylindrical segment-plates fitted by recesses of different depths. Both versions imply that elastic elements are inserted between the weights for the clearance Δ, together with the weights being distanced from the washer with flyweight in the form of a hollow cylinder.

EFFECT: improved damping characteristics, reduced negative impact of torsional vibrations on a drilling unit in the wide range of its rotation frequency change, increased service life and reliability, reduced failures of the equipment.

SUBSTANCE: vibration damper - calibrating device comprises a body and a gage plug. The body is perforated in longitudinal and circumferential directions with formation of grooves at exterior surface. The gage plug has joggles at inner surface, and at outer surface between joggles there are soldered hard-alloyed fins. The body and bushing are perforated through and shaped as prismatic grooves thus forming frames with installed steel balls. Diameter of the balls is increasing while distance to the next ball is reducing in longitudinal direction of the vibration damper - calibrating device bottom-up.

EFFECT: improved efficiency in dampening of longitudinal direction that impact the bottom assembly of the drill stem and in calibrating of the well bore.

FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a connection unit for use in a water-separating column (marine riser) (1). The connection unit comprises inner and outer tubular elements (21, 22), installed as capable of mutual displacement in axial direction. Tubular segments (21, 22) are connected to appropriate segments of the riser with formation of a chamber (23) with a piston (24). The piston (24) separates the chamber (23) in the radial direction into the first and second parts (25, 26) of the chamber. At the same time the first part (25) of the chamber, which in the initial position of the connection unit comprises a non-compressible fluid, is reduced in volume as the inner tubular segment (21) extends from the external tubular segment (22). According to the invention, the connection unit is equipped with a connection line (30) for fluid, stretching from one part (25) of the chamber to its other part (26). The connection unit provides for control of relative movements of tubular segments (21, 22) by means of provision of the possibility of the fluid flow to flow along the connection line (30) from one part (25) of the chamber into its other part (26).

SUBSTANCE: connection includes body and shaft built into it, interconnected by telescopic drive, sealing packer, stopper in form of cams and a shell. Body is made of several standard pipes, interconnected by sleeves. Positioned in one of them is stopper for rigid connection of body to shaft. Shaft has radial grooves for positioning of stopper and threaded radial apertures, wherein shear screws are mounted for holding in shell shaft. Shell is made with external grooves, in one of which packing ring is positioned, and in other one - shear screws. The thread on the male and female elements is fitted by cone sections, the pipe section before the first thread turn is additionally fitted by a lead-in rib made as a cone. Additional leakproofness of the threaded connection is achieved due to a rubber packing ring set after the outer thread of the male element and adjoining the smooth cylindrical part of the lead-in rib on the inner thread on the female element.

The threaded zones comprise the respective male and female thread turns including base, tip, connection lateral side and loading lateral side. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to drilling engineering and refers mainly to threaded connection of drill pipe joints used for geological surveying and oil well drilling. The threaded connection consists of a sleeve, a nipple and a slotted spring installed between the sleeve lip and thrust face of the nipple. At that a gap is formed between the sleeve lip and the nipple thrust face, this gap is liquidated in process of the connection tightening and spring compression and it is equal to the spring pitch and according to its parameters it corresponds exactly to the preset axial load to the inner thrust joint. Upon tightening of the connection the exact axial loads is provided to the outer thrust joint. Reliable functioning of both thrust joints allows increasing axial force of the threaded connection 1.5 times and improving its statistical strength and cyclic life.

EFFECT: provision of the exact preset loads to the inner and outer thrust joints, maintenance of their ratio within the whole operational period.

The joint on one end is fitted with a thread zone formed on its outer or inner periphery surface depending on the type of the threaded end: male or female. The said end comes to the end surface, and the thread zone along of at least one section comprises thread turns which, if considered in the longitudinal section passing through the pipe component axis, comprise the thread turn vertex, the thread turn base, a loaded side and a striking side. The width of the thread turn vertices decreases in the direction to the end surface while the width of the thread turn bases increases. SUBSTANCE: connection of shaped tubes of well shutters includes shaped tubes with cylindrical ends, which are equipped with sleeved and nipple thread on mutually facing surfaces. Besides, there are sealing devices of the connection, which are made in the form of two elastic rings. One of the rings is installed in an expanded annular coupling end on the side of internal joint of thread between the mutually facing cylindrical surfaces of the threaded and annular sections. In the nipple end there is a constriction for the second elastic ring on the side of an external joint of thread between the mutually facing cylindrical surfaces of the threaded and annular sections. The external joint is made in the form of tightly adjoining and mutually facing conical tube surfaces. Above and/or below the threaded connection on the cylindrical section there is a constriction in the form of alternating annular bulges and cavities. An elastic cuff is welded on the outer surface of the constriction flush with the cylindrical section.
