SUBSTANCE: invention relates to silicate technology and crystal glass formulations that can be used to make household dishes. Crystal glass consists, in % by weight: SiO2 53.4–58.4; B2O3 16.0–17.0; CaO 4.0–6.0; MgO 1.0–3.0; ZnO 4.0–6.0; K2O 12.0–14.0; SeO2 1.0–1.6; TeO2 1.0–1.6.

EFFECT: technical result is high heat resistance of glass.

The microbeads made from yttrium-aluminosilicate glass for radiotherapy with diameter from 5 to 100 mcm contain Y2O3, Al2O3 and SiO2, with the following ratio of components, mol %: Y2O3 - 17-22; Al2O3 - 19-25; SiO2 - 53-64.

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention proposes the glass with high permeability in visible range and/or practically transparent or neutral color. The glass contains iron oxide (0.02-0.10%) in combination with erbium oxide (Er5) (0.02-0.15%), SO3 (0.25-0.40%). The glass may contain small amount of cobalt oxide and cerium oxide. The glass possesses permeability in visible range that equals at least 90%, permeability value a* from -0.8 to +0.8 and permeability value b* from -0.8 to +0.9.

EFFECT: creation of the glass with high permeability in visible range without resorting to extremely pure i.e. practically not containing iron raw materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to glass fibre which is used in making heat- and sound insulation material. The vitreous inorganic fibre has low shrinkage when used at temperature above 1000°C and retains structural integrity up to the operational temperature. The glass fibre contains over 71.25 wt % silicon dioxide, over 14 wt % magnesium oxide and up to 6 wt % of a compound which contains a lanthanide element. The compound which contains a lanthanide element acts as a viscosity modifier and improves ability to fibre formation.
