SUBSTANCE: method for manufacturing a rope from grass consists in that in the beginning a site with grass easily torn off from the root is selected. Then by a rope-forming means made in the form of a stick with a hitch at one end, the top portion of the unplucked grass bundle is gripped, and the bundle is twisted by rotating said means around its own longitudinal axis. The gripped grass bundle is pulled in the direction opposite to its natural or specially created slope. After obtaining part of the rope, it is wound on the stick, and the rope continues to be formed to the desired length by rotating the stick around the axis perpendicular to its own longitudinal axis.

EFFECT: quickly manufacturing a rope quite even by thickness in the field conditions, almost without improvised means.

SUBSTANCE: in the common string with the knotted sections and an elastic core there is a difference in expansion degree of the ends and the knotted section core, therefore, there is a section, which is susceptible to high stretching force, and a section, which is not subjected to stretching force. When a great strain is accumulated on the boundary between sections, susceptible to various stretching forces, it can reach the limit values, and the string can be torn. To solve this problem the string, according to the invention, comprises the tubular body made of elastic material, knotted sections located with an interval relative to each other and made with possibility of changing their diameter depending on the knotted section in axial direction, wherein the string additionally contains, located in the center of the tube, formed with the tubular body of the string, additional string consisting of less elastic material, wherein the additional string forms the knotted section core and it is coagulated at this section so that it allows to change the distance between the ends of the knotted section at changing the diameter of this section.

EFFECT: structure of the string is suggested.
