SUBSTANCE: grounded diatomite particles are mixed with bonding additives and sent to the layer-by-layer granulating in the disk granulator or the fluidised bed granulator up to the spherical isotropic granules production. The resulting granules are dried and then calcined. Ready-made diatomite granules have the porous structure, formed from the spherical-shaped layers, the rough surface of which has the abrasive properties. The granules size is in the range from 0.3 to 6.0 mm. The size of the roughness protuberances on the surface of the granules is in the range from 1.0 to 150.0 mcm. The granule strength of uniaxial compression is not less than 5.0/dg MPa, where dg- diameter of the granule, mm. The strength of the granules is enhanced by vitrification during the calcination process. With this purpose 0.1 to 10.0% of glass forming oxides of alkali and/or alkaline-earth metals are added to the granules content.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of silicate materials. Disclosed is a method of producing inverted-phase hydrophobisated polysilicate sorbents, which includes reaction of a hydrophilic silicate component with an amphiphilic silicate component in an aqueous medium. Co-condensation of said components is carried out with molar ratio of water to the sum of the silicate components of 124-250. An acidic and/or alkaline component is also added to the reaction mixture until polysilicate hydrogel forms. The obtained sorbent is intended for use as a filter medium and as an enterosorbent.

The method includes the first stage of interaction of an inorganic particle, which has a hydroxyl group, with a silane binding agent, having an alkenyl group with the carbon number from 2 or more and 8 or lower and/or an alkynyl group with the carbon number from 2 or more and 7 or lower, and the second stage of interaction of the inorganic particle, which reacted with the silane binding agent, with the compound, represented by the general formula (1): . R1 represents an alkyl group with the carbon number from 4 or more and 50 or lower or an aryl group with the carbon number from 6 or more and 30 or lower, and each of R2 and R3 represents independently a hydrogen atom, chlorine or an alkyl group with the carbon number from 1 or more and 4 or lower. The first stage additionally includes interaction of the inorganic particle, which reacted with the said silane binding agent, with the silane agent, which does not have any alkenyl or alkynyl group.

Then, filtration element of made and compacted to density of 0.9-1.0 g/cm3. Now, filtration element is saturated with liquid glass or siliceous water solution, blown by air to residual moisture content of 20-30% and heated to 500-1000C at 50-100C/h.

Proposed method comprises removal of mechanical impurities, heavy metals, excess salts by forcing drainage effluent through filtration matrix arranged on the way of drainage effluent flow, said matrix comprising the following sorbents in % by volume: shell limestone-50%, greensand-30%, expanded clay-20%. Filtration matrix represents a rigid metal carcass made from steel angle and having its side faces lined with sheet steel. Carcass is furnished with trash screen arranged on working side that allows passage of drainage effluent. Carcass comprises three inserted detachable cartridges with sorbents arranged in certain sequence along the effluent flow: shell limestone, greensand, expanded clay. Each detachable cartridge represents metal case made from steel angles with its bottom and side faces lined by sheet steel. Cartridge case has bronze screens arranged on working sides and furnished with filtration material secured thereto from inside and with two sheet steel braces that double as stiffness ribs with mounting hinges.

Filtering material is proposed, which comprises defecation residues that has been thermally treated at temperature of 450-600C in amount of 35-80 wt % and sand in amount of 20-65 wt %.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase quality of treated water up to 97,2 -97,4% according to COD, up to 98% by suspended matters with filtering speed of 1,5 m3/m2hr.

FIELD: production of filters from silicon dioxide.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes mixing fraction silicon dioxide with binder containing solution of polyvinyl alcohol in water, boron-containing additive is mixed with surfactant form series of organic fatty acids and silicon dioxide sol; mixture thus obtained is introduced discretely into fraction silicon dioxide at constant mixing, charge is granulated and molded by application of vibrating oscillations; blank thus obtained is dried for obtaining transportation strength, roasted in gas medium and subjected to mechanical treatment. Articles have strength of 30-40 Mpa at content of boron elements of 4-14x10-5%; they are used for production of high-purity materials for fiber-optic light conduits.
