SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of verifying the authenticity of a security document, in particular a fiduciary document containing a zone with an invertible luminescent mechanical compound located inside or on its surface, of the formula:

where R is an alkyl chain having 1 to 12 carbon atoms. The method includes the step of subjecting said zone to ultraviolet irradiation so that the entire zone becomes visible to the naked eye in the first colour (C1) of the fluorescence. The method also includes the step of heating at least mentioned zone to a temperature of at least 50°C without any friction or mechanical stress. In this case, the authenticity of the protected document is confirmed by changing the first colour (C1) of fluorescence to a second colour (C2) of fluorescence, different from the first.

A variety of light sources covers the range of near-infrared region of the spectrum and/or the range of the visible range of spectrum so that the spectral sensor is capable of recording spectral distribution of intensity in the specified range of the near-infrared region of the spectrum and/or in the specified range of the visible range of spectrum.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a sensor for inspection of a document of value, which moves relative to the sensor. The technical result consists in provision of inspection at low speeds of movement and wide range of attenuation time values. The sensor comprises a lighting device to illuminate a document of value by exciting light, and several detectors for continuous detection of luminescent radiation, which emits the document of value illuminated with exciting light in different areas of detection, which are located with displacement relative to each other along the direction of sensor movement. The first of detectors is made to generate the first signal of luminescence of the first area of detection, which in the measurement plane partially matches the illuminated section, and the second of detectors is made to generate the second signal of luminescence of the previous detection area, which, when considered along the movement direction, is located in front of the first area of detection in the measurement plane.

EFFECT: sensor provides for inspection of luminescence attenuation time on the basis of luminescence signals of several detectors.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to facilities of transactions protection in a cash register. The technical result consists in improved quality of banknotes inspection and recognition. The recording device comprises a microprocessor (1), a recording device (2), a communication module (3) and the first photographing device (4), which comprises a camera (41) and a flashing indicator (42) with various types of beams. In accordance with the optical characteristic of the surface of the processed banknote the microprocessor (1) may automatically correct the flashing indicator (42) to provide various types of beams and control the camera (41) to produce photos of the processed banknote. The microprocessor (1) may receive a command from peripheral equipment via a communication module (3) and accordingly control the first photographing device (4) to produce photographs, and also to receive information on a transaction related to a banknote; and save photoinformation about the banknote and information about the transaction on a memory (2) in encrypted form.

EFFECT: system may efficiently and automatically record process of counterfeit money exchange in an ATM and provide for efficient legal grounds for solving the appropriate disputes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for reading/authentication of banknotes, preferably, to manual devices, which may be used by people with impaired vision to identify different denominations of banknotes. The technical result consists in increased reliability of recognition with the help of detection of combinations of colours of various ranges. The invention is aimed at development of a banknote validator, free of defects that are specific for engineering level. The validator according to the invention may also be used to validate a protected document with marking (for instance, in the form of a luminescent dye or pattern, printed on a document, a luminescent protective thread or strip), which emits luminescence of certain colour under action of appropriate UV radiation.

EFFECT: invention also relates to the method of banknote denomination identification, where a banknote has a control zone with marking that may emit luminescence of certain colour corresponding to specific denomination under action of appropriate UV radiation.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to means of authentication of documents. In the method, the irradiation with the excitation light is carried out, the first module of light receiving receives light having a first wavelength range, that comprises the peak wavelength of fluorescence, excited in the fluorescent substance, as a result of irradiation by the excitation light, and the second module of light receiving receives light emitted from the same area as the area of the sheet of paper, which emits light received by the first module of receiving light, the said light has the second wavelength range, which is located next to the first wavelength range. Then the module of determining the fluorescent substance determines type of the fluorescent substance added to the sheet of paper based on the outputs from the first module of receiving light and the second module of receiving light, and the assessment module assesses whether the sheet of paper is genuine or counterfeit, based on the result of assessment of the module of determining the fluorescent substance.

EFFECT: technical result is to improve the detection accuracy of authenticity.

SUBSTANCE: electromagnetic radiation generator is made in form of a linear array consisting of similar light-emitting diodes 19, having a length which is not shorter than the width of the detected area. A linear photodetector array also consists of similar photodiodes 20, each placed opposite the light-emitting diodes. Adjacent photodiodes 20 of the photodetector are switched in pairs with the possibility of detecting the analysed object simultaneously on all formed channels. Values of given characteristic parameters of the generated luminescence radiation, which corresponds to areas of the surface, i.e., response detected by the photodetector, are the damping characteristic of the generated luminescence radiation and the topology of arrangement of security marks.

FIELD: instrument making.

SUBSTANCE: method consists in recording, reading and reproduction of information from memory cards 2 of different standards and further use of the same information during electronic interaction with the corresponding firmware. Peculiar features consist in the fact that an electronic device of card-reader 1 is equipped with an optoelectronic sensor functionally being a device for memory card 2 authenticity identification by means of detection of at least one protective mark made on it. For that purpose, the section of memory card 2, which has the protective mark, is arranged in sensor field of view. Besides, the above recording, reading and reproduction of information is performed after the above sensor registers positive result of authenticity identification, which is obtained by means of the corresponding processing of data file formed during detection. Card-reader 1 is provided for implementation of the method, the electronic device of which is equipped with an optoelectronic detection sensor, and one of possible versions of certain design of the above sensor is provided.

In the method the bank-note input is detected by means of the bank-note detection module; it checks, whether the entered bank-note is a false bank-note; the information on a false bank-note is obtained including the serial number of the bank-note, precisely identified as a false bank-note and the information on a false bank-note including the serial number is communicated to the false bank-note control system through the communication module when the command is entered for transmission of the report on a false bank-note pre-set by the user. As far as the information on the false bank-notes which are precisely identified as false by financial institutions, enters as a data to the central bank for storage and control of these data during processing of bank-notes.

SUBSTANCE: in the structure of the reproduced colour image of the concealed security element divided into fragments the information about authenticity of the protected object is encoded. The authenticity control of printed products is carried out by extracting the element structure from the basic colour components of the scanned reproduced image by combining these fragments into a security element and decoding the information encoded in it.

EFFECT: increase in reliability of protection by modifying the colour image of the security element and placing it in the areas appropriate in colour of contrast background.

FIELD: physics, signalling.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of protecting valuable articles from counterfeit and subsequent authentication thereof using technical equipment. The method comprises forming a security means with addition of chemical elements to enable inspection by X-ray fluorescence analysis. The security means used is a ceramic paint to which a chemical element in the form of a lanthanide is added in amount of 1.0-10.0%, followed by drying and firing the article at 700-800°C, and presence and authenticity of the security means on the article is checked from the presence of analytical lines of lanthanide atoms in the X-ray fluorescence spectrum or by comparing the X-ray fluorescence spectra of the security means simultaneously deposited on the article and on a metal plate, which is the chemical passport of the article, and specifically from the identity thereof at the wavelength of said lanthanide.

EFFECT: high reliability of counterfeit and imitation protection of valuable articles made of precious metals.

In the method the asymmetric key to decode the information is obtained from the emitent of the document, contained in the graphic image applied on the checked object or on the accompanying certificate. Before comparing the signals, the method additionally comprises the step of additional decoding, using the obtained asymmetric key of the identification information applied on the checked object or on the accompanying certificate, so that in the comparison module the signals are compared, corresponding to the decoded information from the decoder of the scanner and the pay-off stand information.

SUBSTANCE: method of inspecting paper with optical protective marks on banknote threads involves synthesis of a flat optical element with an asymmetric microrelief. An asymmetric image is formed in an optical element to allow automatic inspection, invariant to the shift of the banknote and turning thereof within 10 degrees when the protective mark is illuminated with a laser beam perpendicular to the plane of the banknote. The image is in form of bright sections, parallel to the direction of movement of the banknote in the channel of a counting and sorting device, lying in the focal plane, parallel to the plane of the banknote, or in planes Q1 and Q2, each inclined to the plane of the banknote by an angle α, which is less than 60 degrees. The line of intersection of planes Q1 and Q2 is parallel to the direction of movement of the banknote. The control feature for identification is the distance from each of the sections to the laser beam. The apparatus for inspecting paper with optical protective marks on banknote threads includes a diode laser, a detection system, an electronic unit for recording information from a line of photodiodes and an electronic unit which performs automatic inspection. The diode layer emits a laser beam perpendicular to the plane of the banknote.

EFFECT: high protection of optical marks from forgery, high reliability of identification and invariance of the inspection procedure at high speeds of the banknote in the channel of a counting and sorting machine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of manufacturing counterfeit-proof paper for production of counterfeit-proof documents such as banknotes, identity documents based on plastic cards or the like, with a protective element made in the form of a strip, which is embedded into the counterfeit-proof paper and directed at least on one opening in the counterfeit-proof paper on one of the surfaces of the counterfeit-proof paper. The mesh cylinder of a cylinder paper-making machine takes the pulp in the form of the fibre-water slurry from the tub. In addition, the invention relates to the mesh cylinder of a cylinder paper-making machine to manufacture the respective counterfeit-proof paper. According to the invention, on the mesh cylinder for each unit of use at least one first raised platform is applied, which is formed by a closed frame which encloses at least one recess. On the mesh cylinder at least one other raised platform is applied, which performs direction of the protective element made in the form of a strip in the transverse direction so that the protective element made in the form of a strip is placed on the first raised platform and does not protrude or protrudes only slightly beyond the first raised platform on its both longitudinal sides, at that inside the first raised platform the fibre-water slurry cannot agglomerate.
