SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a gas impermeable cover composition suitable for a water-borne coating, in particular relates to a method of applying a gas impermeable layer to a substrate using a coating composition, a coated substrate, a packaging material comprising coated cardboard, and a liquid package containing such a coating packing material. The composition comprises a polymer and a surfactant, the polymer is selected from polysaccharides or a mixture of polysaccharides and polyvinyl alcohol. The above-mentioned polysaccharides are soluble, dispersible or suspended in water, and the surfactant is a water-soluble non-ionic ethoxylated alcohol, the solids content of the composition being 4 to 20 wt % and the surfactant having the formula RO(CH2CH2O)xH, wherein R is iso-C13H27 and x is 8 or more, or R is iso-C10 and x is 5, 6, 7, 8, or 11.

SUBSTANCE: paper product comprises a substrate selected from paper or cardboard, and a coating on the substrate with voids in it. The coating on the substrate comprises a water soluble polymer. The water-soluble polymer is selected from a group consisting of starch, waxy corn starch, protein, polyvinyl alcohol, casein, gelatin, soybean protein, and alginates. The coating additionally comprises a crosslinking agent. The paper product is substantially free of an elastomeric material. A method of processing a substrate for the paper product comprises coating an aqueous solution of the polymer on the film substrate, fixation of an aqueous solution of the polymer by contacting of the aqueous solution of the polymer with a heated surface up to formation of voids in the film. The phase of fixation comprises at least a partial drying of aqueous polymer solution.
EFFECT: obtained paper product is characterised with improved smoothness with no increase in density and has excellent printability.

SUBSTANCE: composition for film coating application includes polyvinyl alcohol as basic component, water and functional components such as polyatomic alcohol as plasticiser, carbamide-based inhibitor of air corrosion, and thixotropic component, and additionally contains structure forming agent based on oxyethylated alcohol and isopropyl alcohol, and can be applied in protection of various surfaces, such as facility walls and technological equipment, and of finished product surfaces during transportation. SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to use of polyvinyl alcohols with functional silane groups in primary coating for separate paper and film layers, containing at least, one silane containing polyvinyl alcohol based on fully or partially saponified copolymers of complex vinyl esters with degree of hydrolysis from 75 to 100 mol.%, which are obtained through radical polymerisation of monomers (a) and (b), as well as comonomers (c) when necessary. The invention also relates to the method of depositing adhesive coating for separate paper and film layers, including primary coating of a substrate using a primary coat containing the above mentioned silane containing polyvinyl alcohol, and subsequent depositing of silicon layer.
EFFECT: early depositing on paper and film layers of the given silane containing polyvinyl alcohols, as primary coating, allows preventing penetration of the silicon layer into the substrate during the depositing process, and also allows increasing resistance to abrasion of the silicon coated surface; besides that, viscosity of the polyvinyl alcohols does not increase during storage, and this leads to increased storage time of separate paper and film layers.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a colourless luminescent decorative paint containing a luminophor and binder. The luminophor is an organic luminophor with anomalously large Stokes shift which is greater than 100 nm, which is colourless in daylight and luminescent in the visible spectral region when illuminated with a source of UV radiation. The organic binder is a transparent organic substance which does not absorb long-wave ultraviolet radiation in the 365-420 nm range.
EFFECT: obtaining fast and stable luminescent paint which contains a colourless organic luminophor, which enables to create a latent image which appears upon illumination with UV radiation which is invisible in daylight as well as in the dark, in the absence of UV radiation, the paint ensures high strength of the polymer base of the decorative layer of the article obtained using said paint.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an aqueous binder for manufacture of non-woven product. The water binder for manufacture of non-woven product is an adduct of carbohydrate polymer and multifunctional cross-linking agent selected from the group consisting of a polybasic acid, its salt, its anhydride and their mixtures. The water binder is obtained by combining carbohydrate polymer and multifunctional cross-linking agent. The water binder is used to bond the glass fiber or mineral wool fibers. To do this, the glass fiber or mineral wool fibers are contacted with the water binder, and the mixture is heated for a time sufficient to cure. The bonded by water binder product of glass fiber is used in the material for thermal insulation of buildings. In the manufacture of water binder the renewable materials are used.
EFFECT: water binder is free of formaldehyde and has a low cost.

SUBSTANCE: description is given to unpigmented water ink containing in % of the ink composition weight: 50.0-85.0 - water; 7.0-35.0 - alcohol C1-C6, propylene glycol or their mixture; 0.5-15.0 - solvated food colourant; 2.0-40 - binding; and 0.1-15.0 - adhesive agent based on dextrine or gum. The ink contains hydrolysable polysaccharide adhesive agent improving ink compatibility with hydrophobic surfaces.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water-soluble hydroxyethyl cellulose and derivatives thereof. Hydroxyethyl cellulose and derivatives thereof are characterised by ratio of unsubstituted trimers less than approximately 0.21, hydroxyethyl molar substitution between approximately 0.7 and 1.3 and water-solubility of over 90%. Hydroxyethyl cellulose is obtained using a suspension method. Cellulose, water and alkali are mixed and react in an organic solvent. Molar ratio of water to anhydroglucose in the prepared alkaline cellulose mixture lies between approximately 5 and 35, and molar ratio of alkali to anhydroglucose is greater than approximately 1.6. Ethylene oxide is added. A sufficient amount of acid is continuously added so as to reduce the molar ratio of alkali to anyhydroglucose to at least approximately 0.4 and preferably higher than approximately 0.04 while simultaneously reacting ethylene oxide with alkaline cellulose. If needed, at least one deriving agent is added to obtain modified hydroxyethyl cellulose. A viscosity lowering agent is then added. This water-soluble hydroxyethyl cellulose and its derivatives are used in compositions for personal care agents, compositions for household care agents, pharmaceutical compositions, building compositions, emulsion polymerisation compositions, compositions of working fluids for oil fields, compositions of working fluids for civil engineering, compositions for coating paper, compositions for making paper, compositions for applying architectural coatings, compositions for applying industrial coatings, compositions for printing ink, adhesive compositions and compositions for processing and extracting minerals.
EFFECT: obtained hydroxyethyl cellulose and its derivatives is more efficient when concentrating aqueous systems than existing hydroxyethyl cellulose products, and demonstrates unique rheological properties in systems with low water activity.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nonuniformly substituted (substituted in mass) hydroxyethyl cellulose and derivatives thereof. Hydroxyethyl cellulose contains groups which are nonuniformly distributed in the cellulose main chain. The fraction of unsubstituted trimmers is greater than 0.21 and hydroxyethyl molar substitution is greater than approximately 1.3 and less than approximately 5.0. Hydroxyethyl cellulose which is substituted in the mass is obtained and used in functional systems. The method involves mixing and reacting cellulose, water and ethylene oxide in an organic solvent for a sufficient period of time and sufficient temperature. A second mixture of the main cellulose reagent is then prepared by adding acid or a mixture of the main hydroxyethyl cellulose reagent by adding ethylene oxide followed by addition of the main reagent. Further, ethylene oxide is added to the second mixture of the main cellulose reagent or the cellulose mixture of the main hexaethyl cellulose reagent and the reaction is carried out at sufficient temperature for a sufficient period of time to obtain the hydroxyethyl cellulose end product.
EFFECT: mixture of hydroxyethyl cellulose and derivatives thereof have unique and high-demand rheological properties and are more efficient in thickening aqueous systems than existing hexaethyl cellulose products.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises preparing at least one sterilised double-barrel chamber with separation element in a cartridge. The latter is made, preferably, of plastics to intake at least one double-barrel system to make at least one system retained in the cartridge irrespective of its orientation. Note here that said cartridge is fitted in vessel adequately closed. Then, said vessel is transferred via a sluice into clean room, opened to fill the first barrel and closed. Said cartridge is turned over, filled to close the second barrel and to remove said vessel via said sluice from said clean room. In compliance with the other version, with first barrel filled said vessel is closed by gastight element to subject the solution to sublimation chamber in said first barrel. Pre-sterilised structural system comprises above described double-barrel system, cartridge and vessel. First chamber is closed by gastight closing element to perform sublimation drying of solution contained in said first chamber to be closed thereafter. Second chamber is filled and closed to move the vessel via gate from clean room. In compliance with another version, prior to sublimation drying in first chamber, the vessel closed by gastight closing element to be opened before filling the second chamber.
